FFVII as the #1 game I really don't agree with lol, I love the series but that's just not where it belongs, too lazy to post my top 10 though lol, but on the 1s u don't agree with, Xenogears is a great game, KH was also good, but I don't think it belongs in top 100. God of War is the game by Sony where you play Kratos and kill minotaurs/cyclops/medusa/etc and it only had that 1 character and was an action/adventure game not a fighter. Earthbound was also a good game, although shouldn't be on the list and they're actually working on a sequel to it for GBA.
 
Well... my favorite game of all time made it on so I'm Happy...

Hey, our users made that top 100 list, not us. Trust me, there wouldn't be an FFVII anywhere near the top 100 if I made it. :lol: I'm disappointed by the lack of Puzzle Fighter and any music games in general (c'mon, at least DDR could've made the list).
 
Yeah, I don't trust that because Secret of Mana(one of the best rpg's ever) is so low on that list. I do find it interesting that the largest section of the games on that list are all from nintendo systems though.

Also, to the OP:

God of War was an excellent action/adventure game that was released early this year. It's got blood(lots and lots of blood) and boobs, what more do you need. Actually, it's got it's own sex(threesome even) mini-game at the beginning of the game, they were just smart enough to not get slapped with an AO rating.

Kingdom hearts and Xenogears are both great games. Just because they have disney characters, didn't mean they detracted from the game.

Edit: I just counted the list, and SEGA had more games than Xbox did, although Xbox did pad their game list with KotoR. Hell, the arcade had 1 less game on the list than xbox.

anyways.. FFVII as #1 isn't so bad.. but I don't think it's the best game out there. I'm not sure which is in my opinion really :P it is one of the best FF though. FFVI being another great one (that should really be way up there too)

Two Words: Console Generation!

Some of the best games ever were made on non-consoles (i.e. Commodore64, Amiga500, later PC). Screw this Top 100.
 
Why is the new Prince of Persia so low on the list? That game rocked. And where is Kid Icarus and the hardest game ever made Ghosts and Goblins. This is a fanboy list and I doubt that serious gamers were polled for this. FFVII as the #1 game..my ass.
 
Final fantasy 7 is only there cause everyone on gamefaqs is a sephiroth fanboi.

I don't think anyone here would argue that even though we all love final fantasy here.
 
Mario #1? hell no.. it's a fun game but hardly worthy of being #1 (or even in the top ten). Atleast in my opinion. Replay value is virtually zero. Story - virtually none, character development - virtually none, the gameplay - was decent but got very boring after awhile. Side things to do? none. Not the best game in my opinion :\
 
I think thats a fairly decent ranking actually, and I can aggree with quite alot of it. My only 2 problems are that FFXI isn't even on it, and FFIX should have been alot higher up (maybe in the top 10 even!).

But I don't like to say if something is my favorite, because there will always be something better than it (apart from FFVII... that game is perfection on 3 discs <3). And plus, my opinion changes with the games I play, I'm just generally a very indesicive person, who loves Final Fantasy games :D
 
What the fuck was that guy (or gal) smoking when he made this!? I mean seriously...GTAIII,VC and SA on there but they didn't put Shenmue II!?

I could probably pick out plenty others that i don't like but meh. (btw anyone else notice that Square owns at least 1/10th of the list? lol)

How can you say EarthBound wasn't good. In my opinion that was the best rpg for the snes. It took the normal rpgs of the time and placed it in today's (at the time) world. It's pretty much the same as the FF snes games so i don't see how you couldn't play it for more than 2 hours.

As for God of War, i dunno what you're talking being a "shitty fighting game with like 8 characters." I could not stop playing that game. Honestly i've never been more impressed with an action game like that. The enviornments were amazing and so was the gameplay. The setting and story were great too. You play as Kratos who made a deal with the God of War while in a battle. The God of War (Areis right?) saved your life so in return you must pay him back. I don't really feal like typing the whole story but it deffinatly deserves to be on the list.
