Was wondering how long that would take. I have no interest in Salvage gear for my WAR...and I'd say its doing pretty well without it. You don't need Salvage gear to be l33t. You can have Salvage gear and still be gimp. Its just like any other gear set...
 
Maybe we should salvage rappa's gear, mm? Sigh, I'm just jealous. But yeah, gear sets are gear sets, FFXI does a good job of making you at least think between gear or switch. Most games have the undisputed bests for each class. I hated that.

Wouldn't be the first time SE has decided to allow a job to use a previously restricted set.

Really, judging what the new jobs are going to be like based on the utter dearth of information we have right now is, in a word, stupid. Settle down, wait a while until people can actually level the new jobs, see how they work in parties/alliances/events, and then start saying they suck.

Considering Usukane is pretty much the best the best TP set for MNK, I don't see how you can be gimp with it, if you have good pieces in the other slots (Destroyers, Black Belt, Brutal etc.). Sure, with those you're less pimp, but you're farm from gimp unless you sport things like White Belt, lvl 14 DEX rings, and Spike Earrings. But in that case I have no idea how said MNK would even be able to stay in a Salvage shell long enough to even get a lvl 15 drop.

I'm just said DNC and SCH can't use Salvage sets, since that means I'll have to get other gear besides Salvage gear for it, thus I need even more sets then I currently have =/ if SCH could use Morrigan I could just walk around with that set for it (with a few extra situational pieces)

I was referring to Usukane on PUP. The pup still blows even if its in full Utsukane, because the job blows. Ares has 2 pieces that are marginally good. None of the others comes close to replacing current alternatives. So yes, you can have full Ares and still suck.

In other words: I'd rather take a good MNK or WAR with 0 Utsukane or Ares than someone who only has gear from those events anyday.

Unless you plan on magically getting DNC/SCH to 75 in a week, you can wait the couple months until SE figures out which set to give to the jobs. They're just waiting to see what the player base is going to do with the jobs first, just like they did with BLU, PUP and COR.

People need to stop whining about DNC/SCH not having access to some level 75 gear, SE has plenty of time to add their acronym at the end of some gear.
 
Anyone check if DNC was added to X's Knife? BST can't use Blau as well(Even though it can equip similiar dagger types,) but has access to that.

I think we could make it 3 pieces cuz not everyone has or will ever get adaberk xD


Unless you were counting that piece =P

2 is all I'd try. They'd be weaponskill only in both cases though. Considering weaponskills are less than 1/3 of my dmg, and this would increase them by about .05%, I'm not that worried about not having them. Ares Feet are only 1 acc 1 attack or so better than Amir...and that's one of the pieces I'm including as a possibility.

It's still worse than most other jobs, which is the point he was trying to convey. Salvage gear and abj gear doesn't magically make something better if it starts off sucking. Thus, not having salvage and abj gear doesn't magically make dnc/sch suck.

No, I know. I'm just saying having Salvage Gear doesn't automatically make you gimp, for ALL jobs, which it seemed like you were implying :P
