Even though i dont take medice for it anymore i Still know i have it due to my personality and my lack of being able to focus on things that wether im intrested in them or not

Yes, originally A.D.D and A.D.H.D is because of a hormonal inbalance. Nowadays, though, they give almost everyone who isn't the perfect angelic kid the diagnosis A.D.D or A.D.H.D. So nowadays, its more then just an hormonal inbalance. Nowadays, its more bad parenting.

I think that's rather bad though, because bad parenting is
1) not A.D.D or A.D.H.D
2) not the child's fault.

so doctors really should learn to seperate it...
 
Geez, whatever happened to "I'll take this damn belt off, you're not gonna like it if I do" that usually kept me in line as a kid, and if I kept acting up, I got what was coming to me. That kid is just going to act up even more when he gets home and they'll keep going in circles.

What happened to it? The courts ruled that discipline = jail time. =/

Disagree all you like, this only proves my point. Your parents did what they were supposed to and you got the hint? hold on lemme get my 'scrip pad..

It's not A.D.D. it's called being a child and as you can see quite plainly by rising diagnosis numbers, they don't make a pill for it.

Let's be fair here. A swat on the ass for being a douchebag does not equal abuse. The fact of the matter is there's too many people out there giving children the idea they can continue to be stupid little shits their entire life and everyone's going to be afraid to put them back in line. Bet your ass when mine get out of line they get dealt with, oftentimes without said swat to the ass but it's always on standby ... and they know it and don't test it.

Beating your child for the joy of it is wrong. Poppin' em with restraint so they learn that right is good and wrong gets your assed kicked is just doing your best to raise a one day competent adult.

But it can still land you in jail.
 
can being the opperative part of the statement here. Most court's aren't going to give 2 shits if you're:

A. Not seriously harming your child physically or emotionally.
B. Not doing it in public.
C. A member of the community in decent standing barring both A & B.

Now .. mind you if the child not only makes the claim but can bring evidence and you're going over the line you definately lose.

I find quite often those without children are the ones who immediately jump to 'zomg you could go to jail for spanking' when the truth of things is actually something quite different. Belts, switches, coat hangers .. these are the things people go to jail for. Inflicting injury that could easily become permanent or using a weapon. Hand spanking or a physical disciplinary action only becomes criminal when a child's physical and emotional welfare is involved (read: hospitol, social services, police involvement ... tax money used on child due to your abuse) which is why 90% of parents get to keep their kids and why most people can harken back to better days when we all got our asses kicked and can now clearly see right from wrong with regards to how we approach life.

Regardless i don't lose sleep over it. I don't abuse my kids, i show them the line when neccessary and then they don't cross it. Which ideally is how it's supposed to work anyway.
