Aye, The rams and greater birds in the medows con vt and it to a 75 >.<

yeah, the rams (the better xp of the two) -- they do max hp down and mass petrify, TOTALLY not worth the camp and ridiculously hard for the amount of xp you get. and the birds just hit really hard.

On a side note, Sky certainly is starting to get corwded with all these level 75s up there now. You used to be able to find a camp easily now not so much anymore. Just kind of proof that they should have worked on expanding end-game content before lowering the "flood-gates".

I forgot to touch on this point - it sounds an awful lot like someone who's upset their country club's taking more applications. From the... undesireables.

Anyone with the desire to get 70+ and Sky was going to get it anyway, this just lets them get it a month or 2 sooner.

I worked at a country club for 4 years. I knew this sounded all too familiar.

I agree and I have to say that it is a welcome change. It has made leveling less of a tedious chore.

yeah, but it's becoming a problem to be able to do gods with so many people camping at once. Before, you would be able to go farm once or twice a week, and get everything you needed for a couple fights. Now, you have to spend far more time, dealing with CC's(which were rare to non-existant before), and you're still likely not going to be able to get everything you could get before.

There still are only 2-3 decent exp spots at 75, and with more people wanting merits, there'll be a lot more threads like this:
http://www.qcdn.org/viewtopic.php?t=12766
http://www.qcdn.org/viewtopic.php?t=12402
Not specifically involving BoL, but it'll happen.

It's just that it's going to make the endgame activites more crowded faster. I don't mind that new people are joining in endgame activites, there just needs to be more of them so that it's not so packed. The other side is that the new endgamers could frustrate the older ones. Not from lack of experience/knowledge, but because they're likely to get things before the older endgamers. I've been to almost 25 dynamis runs, without getting any AF2, and I was outlotted by a brand new 70 on their first run. That's the kind of thing I mean, not that they don't deserve the gear, but when I've been trying for months and they get it early on into trying, it's frustrating.

Nothing against new people joining in the endgame fun, but there just needs to be more to do.

4, maybe 5 camps in Sky (1 on Golems and the rest on Weapons, depending on makeup.)

2-4 camps behind the Moongate (again, depending on makeup)

4 camps @ KRT (2 in the secret room, 2 in the tunnel to Vrtra.)

At least one, maybe 2 or 3 camps in Uleguerand Range.

One camp in Lufaise Meadows.

And if more than 70-80 people level 75 want to XP at the same time... well, I guess they're SOL.

1 on golems, the weapons are mostly T at 75. Same goes for behind moongate, except that it's at 74.
KRT is ok, but I'd only do that with a mnk cannon.
I've never seen another party in Uleguerand range, and it's a bitch to get there anyways.
Never tried Lufaise Meadows.

So there's really only 2-3 good exp camps, the rest have a bunch of toughs you'd have to fight that wouldn't give that good of exp without some form of cannon.

The problem is cubs, that it is not only level 75s. The moongate camp mentioned is a popular camp at 71+, and sky and the range at 73+, KRt at 69+.

Is it possible to have 80 people 70+ that want to xp at once? Absolutely. That is only 13 parties afterall. As more and more people hit 73+, that means less and less camps.

Sorry to thread hi-jack as I don't think it is what you were going for, I just really think SE needs to do something about this as the average "age" of the player based grows.

i have mixed feels about the XP requirement change. I like it in the fact that i'm lvling rng and now it's cheaper. I don't like it in the fact that 122k worth of XP just went *poof* from all the hard work i put into my pld. This is just more of what firestreak said i guess, but i don't really think that the lessened XP requirement will affect a players skill, but it does take alot of devotion out of the job. Assuming you have decent PT's that average 4k an hour, that's 30.5 hours less you had to spend grinding away at your job. Some people might view that as a good thing, some might not. I don't quite know how to explain it really....but i would have to say that 75 is 75 no matter how you got it, just makes the dream a little more reachable i guess (Or in the case of JohnnyB re-reachable....4 times.... )

No, that is a completely unfair and offensive comparison any way you look at it. Give it another 2 months Cubswoo, when there's even more lvl 75s who want exp and we'll see how you enjoy the overcrowdedness.

It's kind of like saying, why don't we get rid of every exp spot except Kazham and start everyone off at level 25 with kazham access after an hour playing. It just won't be enough world to accomidate how many people there will be at any one spot at any time.

You're just looking at End Game as a final goal, one that you feel everyone has the right to reach, and I agree. But being level 75 now, do you honestly think 120k exp would have stopped you if that's all you needed now to be 75? Or is it more likely just something to filter people through different exp camps and possibly wear you out on your job when you do hit 75 so you exp lower level jobs?

The point I'm trying to make is... how easy is too easy? level 50-75 10k/level? I'm not sure exactly what it is you want out of a mmorpg. People are going to reach max level because they have the time and motivation, regardless of how hard it is. The people with that kind of dedication want that challenge, and without there's still plenty of meat in this game to keep people of all levels occupied. It's the finish line where stuff to do starts to get crowded and tedious.

Actually what's not fair is you not posting the second half of his statement...The part where his point was.

2 months don't matter.

I have not hit 75(or come close yet), but I feel that my 2 cents is not completely worthless. My belief is that the reason there are suddenly more lvl 75's, is because obviously, there are more Players.

Interesting side note: The return to vanadiel campaign on top of the xp update is a blatant showing that more people were quitting in mass numbers. There are more players hitting 75, but on whole i figure until the 360 FFXI releases we're most likely down on total players compared to ... well .. pick a date.

If you havent notice he doesnt care. Hes so angry at SE for screwing him out of all his preciouse EXP he gained while not having a girlfriend. I would be pissed if I was him too.

Seriously though Fire get over this and me. I tried to forgive and forget and get over things but no. You hold grudges and act like an asshat.

I found no link between the first and second statement. "Undesirables" as far as I can see it are referance to try to say that by disagreeing with lowering exp cap I am some biggot who doesn't like blacks on his golf course. Unreal someone would make that connection.

And Konartist, this isn't the flameboard, where any discussion about you as a player belongs. Feel free to reference the url on my signature for easy access there. As for forgive and forget... how can I forgive someone who won't even admit they were wrong?

I think it's a fair comparison, Fire. In the XP update thread you talked about how those post-patch won't work as hard and therefore weren't as deserving of the top level and endgame as those that had the means to do it pre-patch. The game let more people enjoy the fruits of having a 75 character and you were taking the lead in denouncing them before they even got there.

There is a very big difference between saying someone doesn't deserve to be at end game with earning less exp than someone doesn't deserve to be at a golf course because of their race. Very big fucking difference. I have nothing further to say on this thread.

Fire your nothing more than a fucking shitbag. I cant believe you would even bring matters of race into it. Its not like cubs mentioned anything of the sort you can take what you want from undesirables. You know that your stupid, pointless arguement doesnt hold water and you cant take it. And for some reason you find the need to flame me.

Get over yourself and go level another job to 75 cause its not cool anymore to just have 2 you need to have 4+ to be considered cool.

Sorry to beat a dead horse... the point wasn't at being outraged that you guys don't have to wake the stairs as high anymore as we used to...

The point is the fact that we wasted a facking lot of xp, and that is what pissed me off. Worse is when ass minded and pissy low levels who wouldn't have a clue decided to be selfish, hit down on the high levels without caring to understand. Why not? Hard to care when you know nothing is going to happen and the change beneifiets you. Of course, if they raised the xp needed.. us 75's would be "woo, glad I hit 75 already" and the rest of you would be "damn... now I have to wait longer.."

The point to make it simple, is that I lost xp on all my 50+ jobs. All S-E facking had to do was let the xp carry over to another class or pass the level it was on. That is what most of the 75's are pissed about. At least it's what I'm pissed about. It's a lot like spending 5 months farming for that haubergon you've always wanted and it's currently 4 mil. Well the big don decides to lower the price to 1 mil after you've finally made 4 mil. All the people who didn't bother to farm the 4 mil are happy, they can get it for 1 mil now yay.

Of course, NORMALLY you'd be happy too... you get 3 mil to play around with... but no.. what S-E did was take that extra 3 mil and laugh in your face. And you wonder about the 3 months you wasted farming that 3 mil. THAT is what pisses me off.

umm.. Firestreak didn't start the race thing.. or the "you aren't good enough to be at this country club" or such thing.. Cubs brought up that as an example as he saw it as how fire was treating sky.. when no.. he wasn't.. it's just a fact that S-E needs to add more areas in for leveling at 75 that aren't a pain in the ass to get to (like Ulegrande Range -_-) or has more than toughs around or something you don't need a cannon for to kill things fast enough or the whatnot. S-E really needs to fix a lot of things actually.. instead their "fixing" tends to only make it worse..
