17 Year old Decapitated at Six Flags Georgia

He was 17, teens think they are invincible. I really do feel for his family, just a horrible situation all around.

Please don't generalize all teens to be retards.

Sad? Yes. Freak Accident? No. The six foot fence you climbed over is there for a reason. Devastating for the family and friends I'm sure, but ultimately his death was all his own doing.

Not one six foot fence, but TWO!

My friends used to say "Don't worry, I'm a teenager and immortal" before doing something dangerously stupid (very tongue-in-cheek), once we started turning 20, every birthday was a sad moment of losing your immortality. "Shit I can die now!"

That is an incredibly tragic story...I couldn't imagine how anyone who knew him felt. I am concerned for the park however as well. This could be a very poor image for them when it wasn't really their fault...

How is it a poor image for them? I mean, how can someone possible say "OMG, a teen climbed two 6-foot fences with several warning signs in spanish and english, and he died! They need to remove the danger!"?

Hell, the trains don't need warning signs that say "Heavy high-speed object, will crush you if you jump in front of me" to know that jumping in front of a train is not smart. If a sign says "WARNING: High Voltage", you don't go there and touch the objects just to see HOW high voltage it is. If you do, you're stupid, and the owner really can't be blamed for it. That's your own fault for disregarding the signs and any kind of common sense.

Now, if it becomes a common suicide place, or happens several times, then yes, something's wrong and Six Flags should try to fix it, but otherwise, the guy's a moron.

Americans tend to be pretty stupid about this kinda stuff.

and lol @ that clip.

Not really...?

so you don't believe most teens think they are basically never going to get hurt/die? lol... cause I know tons that did. I didn't myself, maybe you didn't, maybe a few of your friends didn't think that way.. but the majority of teenagers have this arrogant god complex, and they pay for it at times like this or car accidents or something when they are drunk/high whatever. There are always consequences, good or bad, to our actions. People need to really learn this :\ and most teenagers don't.. and sadly, from what I've noticed, most never even learn it after being a teen

I say submit him to the Darwin Awards.

No, I don't. Very few are actually that dumb. Very few teens would've done what this kid did. Even if a lot of them talk tough, a far fewer percentage will follow through with something so dumb/dangerous.

Personally I find those who think everyone but them has/had an "arrogant god complex" to be a lot worse.

i had something of a invincibility mindset when i was a teenager. i liked to duck and weave through traffic on my bike all the time. even used the major highway to get to downtown New Orleans faster. i got run off it by cops twice, lol.

there is reckless and flat out stupid, with a vary hazy line between the 2. i consider what i used to do as reckless, but what this kid did was stupid.

I feel bad for the family, but no sympathy for the kid. He deserved it.

Good Luck to them.

Lol... seriously man, Grade A Darwin award entry right here. I don't even feel bad, if you ignore all that shit you deserve what you get.
