Nice bg, and good pose. Only thing i'd recommend is to have either an outline or glow on your font, or to have the color changed to a lighter one because the first letters are a little hard to read. But other than that its really good for a beginner

Maybe somethin along these lines w/ the text ??? couldn't read the rest of the text .. hope you don't mind me borrowing your file ..

cool i havent figured out how to make lettering with a glow or puff out like that yet im using gimp but i tried changing the color a bit

Much Better contrast ... I use PS .. I just created 2 new layers over original image, matched font and size, Colored and deleted opposing 1/2 of text, merged layers, blend at seam, add layer styles.

Looks very nice, with cleaner font edges it'd look downright professional.
