I was seeking with my 49BLM. I was only 12 exp in to the level.
I get a /tell "party?"
Then a "Ratoran invites you to join his party" before I even say ok.
I told him yes and accepted invite.
I get in and the party is :
Tomo (50SAM/THF)
Bjornar (51RNG/NIN)
Marohuang (52NIN/WAR)
Ratoran (50WHM/BLM)
Elveengirl (52RDM/BRD)
Atrbiohazard (49BLM/WHM)
49-52? And they'd level to 53 before I leveled? Hmmm. I went ahead with it because exp is exp. All were japanese (i think) but Bjornar.
Ratoran tells us to meet in upper jeuno for teleport-altep to go to Kuftal Tunnel. Me, Tomo, and Bjornar came right away. 20 minutes later, Elveen and Maro finally get there. We teleport, and head to Rabao. Instead of zoning the scorpion that hit the 2 behind, they decided to fight it. I was already at Kuftal.
Well, I had enough time to grab a drink and cook something before they finally get there (20 min). We get in and it takes 10 minutes for Elveen and Maro to get down to where I had to sneak them. I look on the map and seen where they were headed (or so I thought) and followed.
Once I went up the stairs on the other side of amemet room, I checked map again and they had made a turn somewhere. Well, then Maro's sneak wore off in front of crabs. He never told me it was wearing nor did it look like he cared. He ended up having 7 crabs on him and died. I found where they were camping, which was the tunnel after the one next to the scorpion.
I went down to check out camp and there were 5 crabs in front of us and 2 behind us. I'd never been to that area and I figured they stayed where they were.
I go back, tractor Maro all the way back to camp. I notice two of the crabs come through camp. I'm thinking, what the hell?! Well, 20 min later, Ratoran FINALLY decides to raise Maro who decided he wasn't going to get up.
After 15 min of sitting around, Bj's sneak wore off (he thought he was far enough away, as did I) and ended up getting aggroed before I could re-sneak him. He tries to zone them to the Cape Terrigan zone but there was a party there and he took the death instead of having the crabs wipe out the other party.
I went over and tractored him toward the zone so he wouldn't get aggroed. 5 min later, Ratoran comes and raises Bj. Then I asked Ratoran in /tell "{Camp} {Where?}" with the reply of "(position)" which was where the crabs kept aggroing and would link like mad. I had previously asked Bj if he wanted me to D2 him because this was annoying. Once Bj was raised, he asked me to D2 him because this party was out of their mind. I D2'd him, disband, and warped.
Teleport - 20 min
Get to Kuftal - 30 min (8 min fight, 2 min for them to get a chocobo, 20 min to get everyone there)
Sneak on everyone - 13 min
Getting everyone to camp - 9 min
Tractoring Maro to camp - 17 min (he took forever to accept)
Raising Maro - 20 min
Sitting around - 15 min
Going to Cape Terrigan Zone - 2 min
Tractoring Bj - 2 min
Raising Bj - 5 min
/tell conversation - 9 min

Grand Total : 2 hours, 22 minutes
2 hours and 22 minutes of watching these idiots try to camp there, and then raises and tractors for nothing?
Don't get me wrong, this isn't against Bjornar at the slightest. He agreed with me about the camp, both of us thought he was far enough away from the crabs (they turned around), and he was just as annoyed as me.
But the rest of them? WTF? They didn't want to camp in Amemet room where there was no other parties but instead go to a tunnel that has so much aggro it would be impossible for us to exp?
I don't know what you guys think but I tried to get them to come to another camp but they wanted there. I know warping out on them was wrong but 2+ hours for nothing but deaths was bullshit. I'll go back today with my White Mage to screenshot the camp they wanted us to go to.
Urgh. That made me mad. I could of been in a decent party getting exp. Japanese always say English = death. Whatever.
This isn't a flame against Japanese or English. I know many good players on both sides. Just a flame at the four people who wanted to be dumb. ><
