2 new battlefield games to add to the repetoir

I got to play a few matches finally and it let me in right away. So i don't know what the deal is. It wasn't my connection because i was trying it last night at like 1:30am. Who knows what the problem was. I'm just glad its fixed and hopefully won't happen again.

Yeah, I'm stoked for BF:BC 2. It looks so good right now and I hope they keep that nappy film grain off in the end.

Does anyone still play BC on the 360? I still play this more then any other MP game on any system.

I've been playing 1943 a lot more than BC just because of how much better i usually do. On BC the only time i do really well is Gold Rush on Oasis, all other modes/maps i do pretty bad.

Yeah it took me awhile to get used to it. Definitely tougher then COD4 and takes way more strategy to win because of the options given to the teams. About two months ago, I finally got the point where I'm averaging at least 270 a game or more.

I stopped playin' for what ended up being about 4 months to work on my my GoW 2 skills, but I've been playin' pretty solid for the past 3 days. I'm thinkin' I'll keep this up until next Tuesday, when Borderlands comes out, then I'll be a ghost again until a month or so before BC 2. It's still the best multiplayer FPS on the 360 to me.

It took me some time with the game to "get it" too. It definitely isn't easy mode like CoD. I especially like how the game is bigger than a single player.

after playing the resistance series, killzone, CoD series, GoW 1 and 2, i still prefer bad company due to the maps and vehicle intergration. other games fall short of any sort of balance compared to BF:BC (even if the squad system is horrrrible)

Yeah me and my buddy who play BC will be getting Borderlands. Probably not on release, but a couple weeks afterward.

Some good news on BF:BC 2; the PS3 beta begins Nov. 19th and all you have to do is pre-order the PS3 version of the game. Following that will be a public beta in the guise of a demo for the PS3, 360, and PC.

I swear, every time I consider buyin' MW2 I'm given another reason not to.

where dose one get this demo?

Pre-order the PS3 version from Gamestop and that gets you into the beta. From the online store they'll keep your $5 after they send out your beta code but at the stores you can just turn around and cancel your pre-order to the 360 if you like, barring you don't have d-bags as clerks. The console -demo- will be like the BF:BC demo, dealt out over Live and PSN. As for the PC demo I'm sure it'll either be on Steam and various other places.

Killcam, decreased armor, stronger vehicles, all things that are retarded. Vehicles aside, what is this, CoD MW: Too?

Anyone else playin' the beta for BFBC 2 on PS3? If not you're missin' out big time for now. This game is damn near perfect, graphics aside. Not sure what is up with the graphics but instead of being to grainy this time it is too damn bright. When you lower your contrast to subdue to brightness the overall graphics take a hit. Hopefully it'll be spruced up a bit before March.

The "killcam" is kind of retarded, being a BF fan, but if you're smart about it you can make it so it doesn't show you or a very good picture of your location. I say "killcam" because it's not really a killcam. It doesn't show the kill it just shows who killed you. In a game with maps this big it's also worth noting it's not really in the recently departed's best interest to seek you out. With so much goin' on they're likely to get killed before they reach you or give you a chance to spot them out.

The decrease in armor totally blew me away. I was expecting the damage system to be like CoD MW 2's but it's no where near it. It's probably the best damage system in a game I've played to date. It's somewhere between BFBC and CoD 4.

The vehicle perks are kind of lame but they give infantry that can deal with them enough rockets and stuff to make up for it. The vehicles also don't seem to do as much splash damage with their explosive weapons as they did in BFBC either.

Something I really like but I'm not to sure if it was random or what, but in BFBC you could go back to previous bases and camp or work a flank. I have a habit of goin' back to a base once we get a new one and clearin' out those goons who do that, they're annoyin' as hell. When I went back to far, to our last base, I got a message on my screen that read, "Epic Fail", and I died. So it looks like once you progress on a map you have to move forward after a set amount of time or you die.

Dice has also done a lot to discourage those campfire snipers. If you're to far back you'll have a nice time tryin' to get kills when your bullets. After a certain distance, they grow a mind of their own and start dipping, going up, or moving left and right. In BFBC sniper shots went straight and only straight until they either reached their limit (disappear) or hit something.

There are tons of unlocks as well. They have perks, scopes, and none scope attachments this time around. I don't believe there is anything like stopping power or perks like that, but it's more around things like increased sprint speed, slugs instead of buckshot for shotguns, more ammo, and things of that nature. Their is one that has an emblem of a shield on it which I guess will give an increase to your HP but that may be the closest thing to a CoD perk there is, if that is even what it is.

Unlocking things this time around is goin' to be a chore. Each class has 3 perk slots. You open those slots based on points you score while using that class. Same goes for unlocking the weapons, except sidearms. So the only way to unlock the M95 sniper is to build up your points up on your Recon class to the designated amount. The perks and sidearms unlock as you rank up (i.e. sergeant, major, etc.).

Overall it's just what any BFBC fan could want. Pretty much the same with a lot of unlocks and only necessary changes, killcam aside. They've fleshed out the issue of consuming way to much ammo at times to get a kill with automatic weapons and pistols, but it's balanced still so that if I run up on some using an SMG and I have an assault rifle, they get the advantage since their weapon is for close quarters combat, just like in BFBC. The film grain is gone, thankfully, and while the graphics now are kind of low quality, it still looks 100% better than BFBC and gives you a way better long range view. The health system is also a lot better. When you get low your screen doesn't gray out until you die. As a matter of fact, your screen goes back to normal after you run off and sit for a while. Your HP also regens but it takes a good bit of time for that to kick in and heals you up slow as balls when it gets going. So it's not as bad as in CoD or 1943 PSN/XBLA edition. To be put simply, it wont save you but if you won the gunfight it'll keep you in the game for another round.

For those of you that are playing, I think the best damn weapon in the game is the pistol from BF 1943. It can snipe and rip a turd at close and medium range. I was figurin' the 1943 weapons would pale in comparison to modern weapons but this baby is a beast. If you're runnin' with the Engineer class, the Specialist class of BFBC with tool tweaks, it's your best bet for long and medium ranged kills until you unlock the AK74u and their version of the ACOG.

Started on it last night. Took me forever to adjust to the PS3 controller as I've never played a FPS with my PS3 yet. I like the xbox 360 version much better, so I'll definitely be getting it for that.

On to the game. I think they'll clean the graphics up a little before release. I actually like how the armor was dropped a little. I thought in BFBC, it took a little too long to kill somebody. In BC2, it seems they got it just right. I truly believe this game will be better then MW2. I love all the new unlockables...which to me now, makes this game complete.

the decrease in armor is nice, i popped in bc1 and was just dumbfounded how long it toke to kill someone, i just never noticed it before.

the tank increase in armor encourages mics and team play. armor+ and weapon+ perks in the tank make it nearly unstoppable in the right hands. the T1 tanks in RL have range finders so you should have to drop the rounds like sabots, but that would just make it like bc1, but it dosent bother me.

as for the sniper, what i found out quickly, is the killcam makes you play sniper more like you should in world at war; shoot, kill, move. not nessicarly move forward, but just move to another window or building, bush, rock, ect.

not all buildings can be destroyed, which is good in some cases. in the demo map, its just about useless to defend some crates cuz about 8 shots from a tank will drop it, which can be done from a distance.

Just the demo level is better to me than MW2 in FP mode. If MW2 didn't have the third person mode (I wouldn't have bought it probably) it'd definitely be gettin' the Gamestop trade in special for BFBC 2. I am a bit bias though, I prefer the original BC to MW2 FP, hands down 100%. I just prefer a more challenging/bigger experiance.

I'll be gettin' it on the 360 as well. The PS3 controller is just massive fail in the stick department.

ranked 976 currently among 40k? on ps3 leaderboards :D
