2 Worlds

Well I have about 20 hours into it now thanks to getting sick and taking off work that last few days and I can say that once i got over some initial hurdles that game is not as bad I had heard. Let me just say that it is not as polished as oblivion and thats for sure. This game is not Oblivion and i think that is the problem. A lot of people though that this game would be to that level and were disappointed when it didn't meet the Gold Standard everyone expects from these types of games.

Once i got over the fact that this games has some quirks (inventory system, maps, loading times, etc.) it is really a very fun game. Once I figured out how to enhance and combine items and spells it made the game significantly more fun and i am really enjoying the game now. I am about 1/3 of the way through the main quest and spend most of my time exploring this huge area.

I may post more info as i progress in the game but now that I have spent some time with it I am pleased to see it is growing on me.

So far just about everyone who has played more then 2 hours has said this. It's kinda like Diablo. Alot of gear and the inventoy system at least. The game was never meant to be an Oblivion. It's more hack n slash to me.

Anyhow, how do you stack weapon on the 360 version? What do you press to drag them over each other?

On the 360 you go on the item you want to stack then press the back button and you will see instructions that will walk you through. But it make it easy for yourself, go on the item and press the yellow button once then the blue button to tell it to combine the items, then go on the item you want it stacked on and press blue again and that should do it. Just remember that both items must have the same name on them, they can have different stats but must have different names. An easy to tell what can be stacked is to move your cursor over an item and see if it the other item turns green, if it does then you can stack them. This works with rings, armor, and weapons.

You can also stack spell cards to make them more powerfull.

i dunno i played about 4 hours of it...and i still cant get into it. I only pushed myself to do it because people said it gets better and only people who played a short time and quit dont like it...guess thats not true.

4 hours really isnt that long though lol. I know what you are tryin to say and all, but im just sayin, just because you put 4 hours into it doesnt mean you really gave it all that fair of a shot.

I agree that it is not oblivion by any means, and I was disappointed. I played it and made a few potions and stuff and thought that that was pretty cool and I could see myself enjoying the game if I could ever pull myself off of WoW to really put some time into it.

yeah, i wasnt really looking for an oblivion duplicate tho, just a nice rpg. I just cant bring myself to keep playing it, i get annoyed by it so much. and also, cant bring myself away from WoW to play much xbox. i have not even completed bioshock yet, tho i did play for about 45 min today and think im nearing the ending anyway. I still have to complete blue dragon, and i started playing some of Stranglehold a few days ago. but i just know i wont have that done by halo 3 now....those games are going to suffer for awhile lol.

That could also make it harder to get into lol. You have a couple good games you have yet to complete with Halo on the horizon. Some people don't have any other games and maybe Two Worlds is it for now.

Its hard to get into, because it looks like a game that belongs on the PS1, not the xbox 360. The voice acting belongs even further back than that. The controls aren't very intuitive either.

The last comment doesn't really help 2 worlds either, but it wouldn't suprise me if thats what the developers were going for when they made it. "Play 2 worlds if you don't have anything else to do!"

Yeah it certainly has some problems but some how i managed to put over 25 hours into it somehow. My problem with the game now is that my character is becoming too powerful. I am a bit of a loot whore and have managed to build myself a great axe that can just tear through anything in the game, if i buff myself with the strength of god spell (I have it set up for 240% of str). Now the game is almost too easy.

I will say this that the game map is huge and i can just spend hours walking around and looking for dungeons to loot.

The voice acting is something else...

You know im glad I read most of your comments before i began playing this today, else I know I would of gone in thinking, "This is so going be Oblivion's daddy". However, afetr reading a lot of comments I realised it was a completely different type of game to Oblivion.

I've just spent about 4-5 hours playing and im getting into it. However, it is hard for me to read the writing on the screen because its so damn small (or for me anyway). Plus im not entirely sure whats going on either. These however are just mediocre and I guess will get better, or me knowing what in the fuck is going on should anyway.

And I totally agree with the voice acting, a 12 year old could do better.

Forsooth, praytell why you not like dialog? Mayhap inserting old English words into dialog seems a bit forced?

And not entire import.

-And to my knowledge, none of the words in the game are Old English, just Bad English.

Will someone please tell me where the geez is who teaches alchemy

The alchemy guy also teaches you necromancy he is near Quidnar. On the left hand side. You will see what look like undead wyverns near him and a guy who sells necromancy spells and staves.

This game is driving me fucking insane, keeps freezing up on the loading screen switching between places when I have been playing for hours and have not saved! I still cant find this damn alchemy guy either
