20 open beta servers - names to change

Apparently the names are going to change from the phase servers so if people are planning on jumping to Kefka it may not be there anymore. I'll post what the servers are when they are listed and if everyone wants to roll together for open I suggest we pick a less populated one (or what we think will be less populated) and go from there.
 
ooo how exciting! :)

Reading some posts for the core, it sounds like a few regions are going to flock to specific servers for launch. :(
 
Gonna be trolling this until server names are set in stone and we all decide on one^^ gotta keep with the lovely Quetz folk :p

I won't get to play until wednesday so I'll wait to see what server everyone picks.
I had a dream they named all the servers after failed square games. >.>;
 
They still haven't said if open beta phase will be available to everyone or not.
 
Yeah gonna camp this thread to see what we have to do to get into the open beta and what the servers will be named.
 
It would be awesome to play on Kefka, and cause the server to explode.
 
Names still not up, probably will be up after maintence is done on the forums.
 
Looking forward to seeing the list unveiled...I had a feeling it might be like Aion where the servers named after the Guardians or whatever they're called in 14.
 
Would be awesome if they named them after summons/eidolons from the previous Final Fantasy's

Oh wait....
 
They have lots of options they haven't used yet, actually. All those wacky ones from 12, for example.

They did that for FFXIV beta too.

And it wasn't bad guy names in FFXI, it was mob names, no? I seem to remember them naming them Cactuar etc.
 
You guys played beta of XI? That's a throwback.

EDIT: Open beta TONIGHT! Sept 1st, 7 PM EST it starts. If you were in beta before, you probably got an email indicacting where to get that registration code to fit in the 5 boxes in your management account. It's in the first url provided after selecting your region.

As soon as I see the server names tonight I'll post them here. With QCDN going through a change to fit FFXIV I wonder if the we'll officially pick a server? Maybe we can vote? We'll see tonight.

So this is downloading really slowly for me. It also timed out. Is the first file just really long, and the rest short or are they ALL long?

I'm pretty sure Kefka was one of the 11's beta server, at least when they released it in japan, but maaaaaaaaaan it's been ages, so yeah maybe my mind is fcked up too lol

I can't get through 2/3 file part, its timing out as well.
