I have a feeling if they actually announce this people would be showing up at their local ISPs office with pitchforks and torches >_>

I believe this would be a bigger threat to the internet

The part I found funny was...

Porn, porn, if, if you only care about porn, I mean thats, thats your, thats your right, you cant get whatever... Even porn

Other than that... Shit

This is funny, the world will bring an uproar if this happens. Going to call bs on it now, we'll see if i'm wrong in 4 years. lol

yeah, idk if its will officially happen, but plans for it to happen do not seem odd. I can actually see it happening in the future.

We all pay for internet service already, though, and having to pay EXTRA to view sites is ridiculous. They charge you for television service (anything besides an antenna), then extra for extra packages for that service (kind of like having satellite, then paying extra for packages like HBO and Showtime.) We pay for phone usage, then we pay even more for long distance calls (unless you have a cell phone with a nice plan.)

Being charged for internet use just doesnt seem odd to me. I have some friends that are with certain internet providers that charge based on bandwidth usage, already. I dont quite remember where most live, but one lives in the UK in Essex.

Out here in California my boss lives about 3 hours away from work and drives in a couple days out of the week to take care of paper work. Where he lives is in the boonies lol meaning Sonora, CA which is like near Yosemite. His internet provider charges him based on bandwidth and I remember one day coming into work fuming on the phone with his really dense step daughter ripping into her about the bill which came out to about $1300 for one month lol. The problem is that she was downloading a shit load of music and movies that first month which amounted to the gigantic bill.

either this or charging for bandwidth usage would suck so much balls.

I dont think this could happen, the difference with this and TV packages is well this would be fucked up.

Its not like when TV's came out, they gave everyone DirectTV in HD and then all of a sudden one day, said theyre gonna take it all away from you if u dont pay the fee for it.

This would be so fucked up.

Whats next? Pretty soon we'll be charged for the amount of oxygen we breathe

I know this doesnt apply to all of the qcdn users but knowing UK law, the ISP anyone is currently with HAS to provide at least 28 days knowledge to anyone who it concerns that they are changing their terms and conditions concerning their amount of bandwidth theyre willing to provide, which gives anyone more then enough time to tell anyone to change their BB provider to someone who isnt jumping on the band wagon and who isn't going to charge anyone more than norma per month/annum more then they would.

To be honest this sounds like a whole other Y2K fiasco/scenario.

Seriously? If any of you people are honestly believing anything said by this bozo (lol it's FUCKING ATHENE), I have a LOT of oceanfront property to sell you. It's between Albuquerque and Phoenix.

"Join the movement"

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds like some kind of e-cult? x.x

I dunno if anyone else mentioned this but... This news is much easier to take from the big breasted brunette.

I really don't see this happening. The money the ISPs would give these websites for being part of their package would not even come close to amount of money that these websites make from being free and advertising. I would love to see them try it without these huge businesses stepping in.

I'm sorry but wouldn't this render search engines useless? Who's going to try to look for information and then have to pay for every site they visit on the search result list?

The article and the video look a tad unreliable. I mean, they are "reporting" from the backyard in lawn chairs. Not to mention, this is on a social networking site. I have a hard time trusting this source. I guess I'll believe it when Time prints it.
