25 to life

i saw its being banned in most stores because one of the main goals is to kill cops.
i saw a lady who is leading this protest on the news say something that made me wish i was there to reply
"Whatver kids do in the virtual world, They will do in the real world"
i just wanted to say something smart assed like
"Yeah i plan on going back in time tomorrow and righting my wrongs"
or something like
"Your right! Im gonna D2 my ass to dairy queen at this very moment!"

Protests are the best ad campaigns game manufacturers can hope for. You can't buy that kind of publicity.

lol... funny thing is my dad is a cop and has been for over 15 yrs. and he loves to play games, no matter what's in em, and he was actually looking forward to this one because it was supposed to have a lot of sweet stuff in it...

killing cops or not, he knows that it's a GAME, not real life^^

Gawd!! I hate hate hate hate hate censorship. America seems to me to be "King Censorship" on this planet. It just makes me so sad to see it.

When will ppl realize that the video game generation are no longer kids......they grew up. We are all in our early 20s to late 30s.

Sure, there are a younger generation who play games and each new generation that comes through will be playing video games.

It is not fair to the original gamers though....that they have to deal with this kinda censorship. Were grown up....and our needs are different....and we want some hardcore shit in our games. Well...not everyone, but alot of ppl. Grand Theft Auto is the best example of this.

Games are not just for kids.....and the sooner many ppl realize that, then the better off we'll be. It is becoming the norm for adults to be gamers for obvious reasons. It is the parent's responsibility to make sure their kid doesnt play the video game. Some people feel like making it where an adult has to purchase a mature video game isnt enough. Well....what I have to say to that is...

Those are the kinds of people who would agree with making alchohol illegal for everyone. And if they dont think that....thier hypocrites. Beer.....it is for adults, it must be purchased by someone 21 or older, it is up to the parent to make sure thier kid does not drink this, other people shouldnt have to suffer by not having beer just cause the parent is irresponsible.

Mature Video Games....it is for adults, it must be purchased by someone of a certain age, it is up to the parent to make sure thier kid does not play this, other people shouldnt have to suffer by not having mature video games cause the parent is irresponsible.

Sound familier?

Game protests are the height of moronity in my opinion, it's a game, only retards go out and do what they do in a game, and typically they can't play violent games well enough if they are that retarded to warrant hurting anyone. Games are games, if people are so afraid of games being an influence, why don't they get rid of the summary of the game pasted on the back and have "Don't Panic" painted in big, friendly letters(Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy 4tw) and below it a disclaimer saying, "This is a game, there are no respawn points in RL, and once you are dead, you are dead, also, you cannot lose a wanted status by driving around for a few hours in RL." That will sort it all out quick sharp in my opinion.

kids that kill people IRL because of killing people in a video game are the ones that lack some kind of thought process. no sensible person is gonna do that, no matter how old you are.

it's a video game, and the number of people that will do the same thing in IRL is about 0.0000000000000000000001% of the number that won't.

still though, killing cops is a bit much imo

LMAO i saw the title and thought it was about my brother cause he got 25 to life lol

Computer gaming world gave 25 to life 1 out of 5 stars, and that's because of gameplay, not censorship.

"25 to life accomplishes just one goal it sets for itself: to achieve the sort of notoriety that gives games a bad name, a la Grand Thef Auto. But instead of garnering this infamy thorough edgy material and innovative gameplay, it does so by getting pretty much every single aspect of enjoyable gaming dead wrong."

Article goes on to describe:
Unskippable low quality in-engine cut scenes in which characters cradle invisbile objects, painfully blurry FMV sequences, can take hostages but can't maneuver them through doorways or stairs, bad collision detection, can't hit enemies standing behind cars even if they heads are clear and they can hit you, throwing physics are off = immolating yourself with cocktails when you try to hit someone hiding behind...thin air.

"25 to Life sets the gaming bar about as low as it can go. Then trips over it."

Looks like we are better off sticking with San Andreas.
