Dark Knight!!!!! So glad it's in the first expansion.
But... it's a tank. But... it still looks badass as hell.
I will tank as this kind of Dark Knight happily.

So when is it supposed to out?

No official date as of yet. They have only said it will be out Spring 2015.

So I would guess in about 5-6 months from now. They still have one small update and one large update left to do as well before 3.0. Those will be 2.45 and 2.5.

2.45 is going to be fairly small, probably just minor things.. maybe some pvp updates or something as well as vanity updates. I don't really expect anything huge out of it.

2.5 on the other hand will likely add some new main story content, the final portion of the Crystal Tower raid dungeon and probably some new things in Revenant's Toll (likely it will be built up further), maybe even Golden Saucer finally.

3.0 will have more than just 1 new job. It's been hinted that there will be a new gun using job as well. Musketeer has been in the game's lore for a long time, but I don't see them calling the new Job Musketeer. I'm willing to bet it'll be something like Corsair or Chemist and given the hints on some of the former live letters that "it wouldn't be like we expect" it'll probably end up being a healer role. Something the game only really has 2 of at the moment.

After all 2.4 just saw the addition of yet another dps class/job. So now there are 6 dps jobs, 2 tank jobs and 2 healer jobs. So basically with Dark Knight being a new tank, it's a sure bet the other new class would be a healer.

I don't personally expect them to have 3 new jobs with the expansion given that Rogue/Ninja was just released, 2 I would bet on, but 3 would be a surprise. I feel we have a rather huge selection of dps jobs at the moment though.

They told us Golden Saucer will be in 2.5x and that 2.5 was likely going to be split up.

Split up? 2.5 is 2.5.

As far as Golden Saucer in 2.5x, well they pretty much only do increments of 5 so.. 2.55, though it finally coming in 2.5 wouldn't be completely out of the question I suppose.

The big thing with 2.5 will be the final chapter in the Crystal Tower story, and likely even more main storyline quests to prepare us for 3.0. Hmm, though I don't think they will be adding another primal fight with 2.5. Well, there will be an Odin primal battle, I think. Given they had that setup at the Fan Fest. He's just not exactly a new primal.

Probably more Hildebrand, and maybe a second harder version of Gilgamesh or a Gilgamesh EX via the Wandering Minstrel. Wouldn't be out of the question.

Who knows, maybe Omega will make an appearance? Though they might be saving that for beyond 3.0.
