Biast complaining is so 2005.

That sucks though. That helm is pretty nifty for Drks.
 
If you want something like this, you'll never get it. Only random people passing by get Patroclus'.

i wanted it pretty bad. Camped it for 2 weeks straight when i got it, going like 1/6, total of 1/11.

And yeah, i've camped it and seen it spawn and be claimed the 15 mins i have to go AFK for something. But after you camp it so much you start to get the hang of it.

GL with it, just sit back and chill. I sure wasn't when i had gone 10 times with no drop... >.>

Man, I hate to say this but he's popped on loldynamis twice now as we've exited/entered Dynamis-Beaucidine. Two helms to our name now...

that day was funny, me and calais found Shadow Dragon, we kill it, then Biast pop, i spam in /ls "Biast!" like 10 time, no one beleived me lol but calais tell LS is the truth :D then some LS member came o.O
killed, got drop woot! congrat on person who get the helm :P
funny thing is, we was going to raise 3 WYS cuz he got dc'ed during hourglass is over, and we got so sidetracked cuz of Biast, we almost couldn't r3 wys cuz he was 58second til Home Point lol, but we made it there just in time, Thanks to Calais BLM/BRD with Raptor song hehe

hehe, i'm typing fast and in class atm, cuz i need to copy notes from the board, and finals is on the 20th, so i didn't really pay attention to what i was typing.
 
The thing about Biast is a lot of people give up. The only people who bother killing the Shadow Dragon are either camping him or doing dynamis Beaucedine/Xarcabard. That is why the most frequent claimers are just random players passing by. I've popped Biast 4-5 times, seen drop 3-4 times and I myself own one. The easiest way is to just stop in whenever you are not busy and kill the Shadow Dragon since the window is probably open and the PH hasn't been touched in hours.

Tip: Most people with 70+ jobs can solo the Shadow Dragon, but very few can solo Biast. If you are doing the random kills solo, my suggestion is to claim Shadow Dragon and pull him up north in the area with Gigas out of the normal view of anyone going to Beaucedine from the telepoint. Kill him there and back off when the dragon dies. If Biast should pop, you can then proceed to get help. Biast is very slow in going back to the shadow dragon's spawn points so you can delay him almost indefinately. Works best as either THF or /THF. Put up flee, hit him with a ranged attack and run around the huge pillar in the northern section. He'll lose hate in about 30 seconds and come unclaimed. It'll take him a good 5+ minutes to proceed further south so you'll have flee back up to run him around the pillar again. I basically claimed Biast like this the last time he popped when Ishaela finally got her helm and I stalled him for about 30-45 minutes. Sad thing was I swear a ranger walked through and could have easily taken Biast if he had used Wide Scan.

yeah, my plan is something like that.. in a way. Word is he sleeps VERY easily. I know for a fact the Shadow Dragon does. Sleep it every time to claim and debuff. I think I may be able to hold it while help arrives just by sleeping / binding.

If it makes you feel better, 3 Xarcs in a row (more recent ones), lolDynamis got Biast right before a run, and got drop 2/3 times D:

I was 67ish THF at the time, so no Ni and my evasion wasn't capped either. I'd consider soloing now, but it's pointless since all the people that I know who wanted it have it. It's also very dangerous to solo with his terrorize if you get caught with shadows down (he hits like a runaway truck). He has pretty bad accuracy though and I've seen THFs tank easy, but I'd rather not risk it especially when someone wanted the drop.
