Well, I finally gave in. 3 years after walking away from FFXI due to the birth of my son I've decided it's time to start playing again. This means new server, new char(same old name though, nice), no gil and the dunes are impending *shudder*

I left just before Treasures was released so there's enough new content that the game's just fresh enough to be fun again so far...but am I right that this server seems a little quiet? There's almost nothing at the Windy AH and while I got going 2 hours before a Monday update(ahhh, like old times!) there aren't too many people on it seems.

So, I ask this -- let me know what it's like here in Quetzal, don't hesitate to send me a hello, feel free to buff me if you pass by(oh yes, the first 10 levels BLOW as a Wmage haha), and the rest I'll sniff around here for. I'd love to see the social ls options here :)

Good to be back, can ya' spare some gil? (kidding but won't turn down any donations lol)

Welcome! :D There's plenty of new content for you to take a look at that's for sure! @_@

Welcome back! You all good to go with a social LS? If not, I got some good guys that can hook you up with a pearl.

No need to dread the dunes these days. Not alot of folks even level there anymore anyhow.

There's definintly less action on the non-jeuno AHs. Its this reason, among others, that I'd like SE to consolidate servers. Maybe not quite yet, but soon. Thats just my opinion though.

Game still has plenty of new low level content to keep you entertained. Enjoy FoV ;)

By all means, send it on! I'm starting 100% from scratch, especially when it comes to knowing people!

If the dunes aren't used that much...then where? Someplace new'd be nice :)

Fields of Valor Books in the level up areas outside the starting cities will give you exp. I exp'ed a lot of my subs there and avoided Dunes completely lol.

On the LS note, I will talk to my people today or tomorrow. I'll look for you. Same name ingame as it is on here? Also, good luck :)

Oh, they have also lowered the EXP needed for each level and DC/EP mobs give more exp than before. Solo'ing one DC after another very quickly with FoV, you'll find yourself leveling up much faster than you would have 3 years ago.

I'll post the link to the LS I am a part of for good measure. We're just a good ole fashioned social shell. http://noizytribe.myfreeforum.org

I've found the field guides(just didn't know they had a name) -- yep, same name in-game as here :)

Kinda like the FoV idea and looking forward to trying SCH^^

Your LS reads like it'd be PERFECT!! If it is as good as the 'welcome to NT' thread reads then I'll definately be applying. My old social LS(and my ONLY LS actually) was so close-knit that those of us who lived 'close' to each other even got together in person for coffee and the like..close=100 miles originally, with a few who'd make the trek even further then that! I miss that, it's honestly one of the biggest reasons I opted to come back to FFXI versus play another MMO(*gasp*) -- if 90% of those I played with then were still around I'd be on Pandemonium again, but they say everything happens for a reason so Imma try another server :)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Hope to see ya'll around (hahhahhaha, if nothig else it'd be nice to get out of Windy...there's NOTHING in the AH!!)
