Well I went to Hollywood Video yesterday, and as I was walking in they had a sign that said that they were going to have 300 in on the 31st. I almost creamed my pants when I saw that. I know where the rest of my Best Buy gift card is going towards.

And it's probably going to be without any special features, so they can release a special edition around christmas to get you guys to buy it a second time. That's likely the reason there's no advertising, because they don't care about the sales of this release.

To be fair, they announced well in advance of the DVD releases that there would be two editions, the theatrical and extended cuts.

As for 300, there's a regular one-disc edition and a special two-disc edition coming out on the 31st. I'll probably pick up the bare-bones version, since that's the same day Hot Fuzz and Babylon 5: The Lost Tales are coming out on DVD.
