I was hunting Spiny Spinelli or whatever in East Sarutabara the other day and a mandy dropped a 4-leaf clover. This isn't a "what's it do" thread but rather if you've had experience with this increasing luck or as a +TH ability after using it please share your wisdom. Alla says 2-leaf mandy buds are for regular drop increases while this one's for NM or BCNM drop increases but there's a lot of dispute as to which is correct - if you have to eat it - basically how it works in general.
 
And Millionaire's desk helps drop rates too... W/e makes you feel better.
 
I have both that stupid mandragora bud and a lucky egg, and I don't notice a difference when I leave it in my Mog House or on my character. Unless it works in both places, I guess.
 
I have lucky egg only in my 4th inventory slot, 4-leaf clover in the third, millionaires in mog house in the 4th slot, only kill mobs while facing north on the second firesday after the third full moon of the month...do this and you will see increased drop rates

I sacrifice babies to increase my drop rates. It works, you should try it.
 
I have a 4 leaf in my inventory. Not because I think it increases drops (I don't think it does), but because it took me so long to get.
 
I had a Korrigan Bud for awhile. It says something along the lines of giving bad luck.

My drop rate and death rate were as usual....

but my cat did pee in the house. I sold the bud after that.
 
i have a lucky egg, i think i have gotten decent drop rates since then but I havent eaten it which is the "right" way i guess to use it, I had a 4 mandy bud once till I threw it away like a noob not knowing it could influence drop rates

Do you have to use the bud or is just having it in your inventory good enough?
 
I'm told like the lucky egg or 4 bud you have to eat it to notice its effects, I dont have the 4 bud anymore(only had it for about 2mins) so I dont have a clue on how to activate it from personal experience

There is no proof of any of these items increasing drop rate.
Egg/Clover/Desk anything.

All you will hear people say for proof is "It seems to have helped" or "Wow I really think this is working"

When you boil it down, they're hit with a brush of good luck farming shortly after. Long term, your drop rates will not be increased, whether you eat it, store it in mog house, keep in inventory, anything.

This is like a 3 year old discussion lol

I'm not in it for the long term lol - if it'll temporarily increase my drop rate i'd like to know about it ^^ Otherwise I'll just trade it to whatshisface for 120 gil and get a quest done.
 
4 Leaf Mandra Bud, Wild Rabbits Tail, Lucky Egg: All mine.

They probably do barely anything, but I've heard people refer to it as TH5 (on top of THF AF2 and the knife), but I dont really notice it alot. I might eat it next time I kill some NM and see if I get a drop, but it will more than likely be coincidence if it does drop. Plus farming for these things is a fricken' hassle.

What i meant is the people that belive it works got good luck coincidentally.
It doesn't happen for everyone lol
 
I have one, haven't let it leave my invo in 2 years. It prolly doesnt do shit, but I like "lucky" things, as my natural luck is so bloody high(most of the time). It's just a fun thing to carry about if you like charms and whatnot.

Drop Rate

On the other hand, I have seen a big difference on Rare/Ex drops while having the Trump Crown equipped.
 
i use data drain and purify demons the sacrafise their souls at the goddess temple alter in upper jeuno to increase my drop rate . . . um i mean idk
