Well, I finally dinged 75 tonight. It took forever and ever, but I'm there and I definitely couldn't have made it (or hell, even have continued playing the game) without having my best buddies Fellina and Osse along for the ride.
We've been static levelling together since level 8, though the two of them were using different jobs than their current ones. That's 67 levels together over the course of 2 years. I really thought I was going to quit the game when I got so bored with White Mage, but they along with some other members of my original LS convinced me to start over and look at me now!
There were several lulls in our run through the levels where we just thought we wouldn't make it anymore, but we persevered through the hard times and always made it a point to enjoy ourselves in the game as best we could.
So this post is dedicated not just to my hitting level 75 (hell, I didn't even think to take a screenshot), but just to how great it was that I was able to make such amazing friends along the way. Obviously first and foremost to Fellina and Osse for keeping this game fun and being the greatest married couple out there. I wish them all the best of luck with their new baby and look forward to playing this addictive game with them for a long time. Of course I haven't forgotten everyone else that has come and gone at various points in our group, so huge thanks to Yomiku, Serus/Squee, Morari, Draciot, Fortresspalm, Sonofnin, Saevel, Audino, Lihnx, and everyone else who played with us.
Level 75. I always thought that would be near the end of my FFXI playing-time, but now I see that there's still plenty more for me to do in this game. So see ya all soon, and don't forget that this game is crap without all of your friends!
