This just in:

The TSA has just instituting a new requirement for all passengers wishing to fly on domestic or International flights. You must have a unique name.

Alternatively, the TSA will be happy to issue all passengers a unique, 9-digit identification numbe.....oh wait.

Don't forget to mention what serv...errr... state you are from

no one ever said bureaucracy was foolproof lol

you know in most places patting down an 8 year old would get you on a certain registration list

This is just plain disgusting.

Honestly, I'd be pressing charges for discrimination 1st thing. And happily tell whomever had the bright idea to harass based on name, to suck me off.

Best part of this story - the kid's father has the same name, and he's never been patted down in security.

Horseshit smells bad.

Correction, he did get patted down once, guess the TSA person didn't like what he felt......errr saw lol. Seriously, and this kid after 8 years still hasn't been taken off the fuckin list? And to reiterate, they go out of their way to pat this kid down, yet that stupid Panty Bomber managed to get thru security?

The near impossibility of getting your named cleared off the watch list has been a chief complaint since it started. It's an idiotic, bureaucratic nightmare.

Some travelers purposely misspell their own names when buying tickets, apparently enough to fool the system.
Fantastic.

LOL yeah I laughed at that too Xali

With my luck, if I purposely misspelled my name it would wind up being a name that IS on the watch list. :(

I've never been notified of being on any list, or anything special but I have never once been able to board a plane without a "random baggage search". Curiously though, my name also appears on dog tags in one of the metal gear solid games, and is shared by my father, and notably a model in England, all of which I assume have similar problems boarding planes.

He's been patted down once. The Bahama trip.

Just give up and tell them WHERE IS METAL GEAR

Bastard...playing with a person's emotions like that. I hate flying now even moreso.

TSA practices zero tolerance with passengers so why should it be any different when the tables are turned? When passengers violate the rules, they are quickly identified and their names released to the press. TSA employees that fuck with passengers like that should be reassigned to other duties or they should look for another job.
