Ask Robinhood. Last I checked he was 62 but that was over a month ago and he had a ton of cash to blow on it (this coming from his brother Jonosapi).
The amount of money is crazy I hear. I was talking to Jonason(RL friend and 54 GS) who has had numerous conversations with Jonosapi and some higher lvl GS...and from what I gathered getting from where he is(54) to 88(getting the final guild item) would cost somewhere in the 50-80 million ballpark, with 30 mil being a very conservative estimate. However, once at 88 GS can become insanely wealthy. Anyway, that's just what information I've picked up. Good luck with your search!^^
Edit: I also believe Jonason talked with a Japanese GS by the name of Nvqsrq(something like that) who is somewhere in the 95+ area. So, possibly you may be able to get information from him.

Nvqsrq i believe is one of the highest goldsmiths on our server. I'm at 61, and after 65ish i don't think theres a single synth that doesn't loose 20-30k per synth that you can level off of. my last few synthing runs i've done pretty good getting +.1s on about 1/2 of my synths, but usually its less.

The real trick is an 88+ Goldsmither, they are the richest crafters in the server, however there numbers are limited cause it takes close to 100 mil to get there.
I've been lvling goldsmithing all week.
lvl 0-53 in about 6 days.....
Those lvls alone took an investment of about 8mill.
This cause I didnt farm for any materials and havent sold anything back to the AH....
But after lvl 54 I here it just keeps getting worse and worse untill you get to 87 when U can start making beads.....

last i heard thadeus was 72+2... maybe 73+2.....
and i wonder if somethings wrong, cause after all my 142 days of playtime or so, im still way poor compared to these ppl like legalus that just pick it up and go.
Not including my 56 goldsmithing, i dont think i've ever had over 2 mil worth of assets. (ok i struck a big one ONCE... but not counting that). Thats also taking to account my darkstaff costed me 550k back in its day.
A total new generation of rich folk has risen indeed.

i never did get into the joys of farming.... and ive got miserable luck with NM drops. I think im best off just waiting till money falls into my lap and go along from there.

From level 12-100 you will not lose gil if you play your cards right. Everyone knows you can stop leveling and just synth ingots like crazy to make money. Silver Ingot stacks are worth 30k. And at MAX they cost 25k to make (crystal price included).
You can stop leveling at any point in goldsmithing 12-100 .
PS My LS has over 12 billion gil combined 1.7 bil came from me alone in 1 month with new character. Eat it.
