sniper rings are now 570k

sdfklasjdfljaskldf players are fucking everywhere.

gil sellers are on the rise.

Why the fuck does anyone not take any fucking legal action against this...

i hear you... im tempted the quit, the game has lost its sparkle of fun....


i mean.. before... the hurricanes i had more than 8-10 hours a week to play.... now... i barly have enough time to get anythin done... so.. i just might...

I would take action, but if I were to leave my room for even a second, I wouldn't have a chance to beat the gil farmers to the stroper pop.
 
1. Find where these gil sellers are
2. Have a party of other people who want to get rid of em
3. Wait until they go to rest
4. Make sure all of you are ninja's (Or just die and lose your own exp.)
5. Train all kinds of aggroing mob's near them
6. Hit Mijin Gakure... (or number 4)
7. They die
8. Repeat until they give up

i agree also. haven't played for the entire weekend... came on sunday night for an hour... just didnt feel anything for it...
 
I have posted before why SE or any game company will not take legal action (It is simply too risky). The most you could ever hope for would be for them to ban them, but as it is pretty much established, unless more players start quitting than new players sign up, SE will take no action, simple because Gil Sellers are generating money for them and I would guess a pretty good chunk of change.
 
one way to take action would to be run them out of the area that they are in....there was one or two people in my ls last night or the day before doing that...taking their mining points and in zitah, taking all the goobs. eventually ran them out of the area. the gil sellers were getting very pissed off too. get a few people together and take their area away from them. this of course is not a fix for it, but it will make ya feel good that your pissing them off instead of vice versa
 
The only sure way to completely get ride of them is for people to stop buying gil. :x

I mean, do you think they just stockpile the stuff? The reason there are so many gil sellers is because there are people buying that much gil. Theres probably about 100 gil sellers total on our server, many of whom are played by multiple people 24/7, if people just stopped buying gil from them, these people would find themselves unemployed within a week. Any other strategy is just going to, at best, move them from one area to another. (i.e. nerf rusty caps and moats in rabao = fewer fishbot sellers and more mob farming sellers). :evil:
 
And who says you can't cheat in FFXI, you pay gil and you get cheats.
Not to mention bots, that's cheat right and no one really cares not even SE, all SE wants is more ppl buying the game, expansion and pay all the monthly rental fees like all companies, they wanna make a profit. So they couldn't care less if they see an elvaan male with a mithra tail. bad pun lol

Damn Gil buyers, a friend of mine bought 500k and sent it to my account, so if any ige ppl's see this thread, i didn't buy them so get lose :P
 
Don't blame the prices of sniper rings on gil sellers. Blame the prices of ARCHER rings on it.

I've just reached the level I can make sniper rings... and it hit me... there aren't that many people who can MAKE those rings as I thought. It seems no one is buying the archer rings now though... I wouldn't be surprised if my fellow leathercrafters are giving the gil peddlers the shaft. I noticed I couldn't buy archer rings for 530k last time I tried... which means they're trying to jack the price even more.

(No thanks.) I'm sure I'm not the only one saying this.
 
Hopefully, my crafting LS will help. If the high level leathercrafters can get organized, the gil sellers will be shit out of luck when it comes to selling archer's rings.
 
/yea I hear the high lvl Goldsmithers and woodworkers are VERY organized. The high end Goldsmithers are down right viciuse. They keep gold ingots at a rediculuse loss with Gold Orc Masks. Also look and see if you can buy an Elemental bead on AH, they do not sell periode and they are the main ingrediant in the thousands of staves floating around.
 
And yea I to am ready to quit, I am sick of so much of this game, the only thing that keeps me coming back is a lack of a PC and anything better to do with my time. Until I go home from college that is, when I do get home I am pretty sure I am goign to start World of Warcraft. a fresh start where endgame is not dominated by people you can not understand and treat you like shit would be nice.
 
The whole gil seller thing has been done to death that there's just some much...apathy (I think I'm using the word correctly) and complacency to it.

You're paying to play the game. However, the gil sellers make you play more and farm more or camp more to get the items you need. One of the other options is to keep following the campers, stalk them, try to out-do them which is a gamble in itself because if you lose, you feel like an idiot, and then you still have not advanced any further.

I understand that was rambling.

All you can really do is ACTUALLY send S-E an e-mail and get everyone else you know to do it too.... and complain to the GMs everytime you get a chance.
