999,999,999 Bazaars

If someone gave you a red rose...and you can't put it in your freaking Mog - FOR THE LOVE OF GOD don't put in in your bazaar for an absurd amount of gil.....stick it in your damned pocket - you are wasting the time of the people who are looking to BUY things from Bazaars.

And here's an idea - ONLY PUT ITEMS IN YOUR BAZAAR IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SELL THEM, ASSFACE!!!! :evil:

Only time I put stuff up in my Bazaar for 99,999,999 gil is when I get into a party with equip for the next few levels and wanna show them I have it. But then I only put up the bazaar once I'm in the party, and take it down once they've seen what I have. (Well, most of the time I do, sometimes I forget and walk around Jeuno with my bazaar up... then I realize what I did and take the bazaar down.)

If ya ask me, that's the only purpose for the 9x9 bazaar.
Though I think the JP do it because of their general taboo against /c, and a bazaar is the same as a card saying 'You can check me.'

See -THAT makes sense.... I am just sick of seeing "Red Rose" 99,999,999 <---being the ONLY thing in their bazaar. I mean, wtf - do you LIKE being "checked" for no good reason?

You actually check bazzars with an intent to buy something? :shock: I see the 999.. thing a lot when people just want to show off some rare item. A rose is kind of silly, but also rather uncommon. You spent more time writing this thread than the time spent checking those couple bazzars that had 999.. roses. :wink:

sorry to say, im guilty....however, i only do this when im in low lvl parties. i throw in my save the queen and hercules ring so then that way people actually realize that they are in a pt with someone taht is well estblished and has been around a while, so to speak

I would like to say something else. I forgot about this until just now, but...

Yesterday I saw someone with a rock salt, ROCK SALT, up in their bazaar for 9x9. I seem to recall doing some crazy emote at them, but it was late at night/morning and I don't remember what I did. o.0

I thought the only reason anyone checked bazzars was out of curiosity/boredom/to see their equip/or any reason other than buying something. The items in bazzars are overpriced compared to the AH 99.99% of the time, so why would anyone try to buy something through a bazzar? Even with exception of special items that can't be put on AH it would be better to contact people directly (eg. this forum) than just checking random bazzar's for the item you seek.

Yep, thats one of the only reasons that I do this, and it's only with my gear, so that I ensure that I don't mistakenly click it or hit a farming gear macro and things of that nature. I also do it (Like what was said earlier) to "Show off" that I have all my gear through level 70.

For unstackable items that you need a lot of (ore). Miners can only put 7 up on AH at a time, but you'll often find a full inventory of them in a bazaar for same price, or less than AH. Smithing would have taken me easily five times as long to level if not for bazaars.

I am always looking for crafting items in bazaars...if I only need one or two of something (like Black Ink for instance) and there are only (very expensive) stacks of 12 at the AH - I hunt in Bazaars. *People DO use them...if they didn't, they wouldn't be around. And I have found lots of good deals shopping around in Bazaars...

I always have the copper ring and red rose my fiancee gave me in my bazaar, because i like to always keep it on me, but at the same time, i don't want to drop it on accident, as i have a habit of throwing every drop i get from exping away. Others may not see it as that important, as it's only a red rose and copper ring, but i do. I really never thought it was that big of a problem after all, it's only a few presses of the enter/esc key. If it's that much of a problem i would stick to the AH, because i have no plans to get rid of my rose or copper ring.

If I forget to put my light staff in my mog house when leveling whm, I usually put up my light staff on bazaar for 999.. so that I don't get error messages from my cure macros.

lol I saw some dirtball with an insect wing in his bazaar for 380k (emperor hairpin for those that are slow)

Needless to say his gear was shit and he was hoping on scamming someone out of damn near half a million.

I thought it was funny at first, but god some people are desperate.....

This is a pet peeve of mine as well, and if your gonna sell something in your bazaar for an actual price... dont overprice is more then the AH... why the hell would anyone wanna buy from you.. remember there is a tax in Jeuno....

Only time I ever put stuff for 99,999,9999 in my bazaar is when I am skillup' and wanna make sure my macro's dont switch out by staves and lose TP.
