I was farming goobues in rolenbarry tonight, and I pass up a person I partied with Sqwert.

He sends me a tell asking what level I was. So I told him I was a level 47 SAM / WAR. He askes me to party so I say ok.

i was low on funds ( Thus why i was farming ) So i ask a friend to loan me 200gil for chocobo. ( choco was 600 i had 400gil >_<; )

So I hop on my chocobo and headed for CN, I go to the rumble area. A little ways past the Secret room, for all of you who don't know.

This party was mostly level49, I think one more level47.

So the dark knight ( Shadowskull ) says he forgot to bring ammo. So he pulls with bio for a bit. Pulling crap like blazer beetles and exorays. Getting like 70~130xp tops. Exp chaining 5 was the highest. Not bad, but still we had a ok set up. And not reaching nowhere near our potentioinal.

So after a short while I was told to pull for some odd reason.. So after pulling some blazers and exo's. I ask davidrage and ecks some advise in the linkshell. So david and ecks tells me with a good setup its possible.

So i ask the party if i could pull one, because the exp started sucking.

The paladin ( Ginku ) flips the fuck out, and so does the shadowskull.

But the whitemage (Ssblowz) said yes, please. And the others had no comment.

I was prompt on prooving ginku wrong for the benefit of the rest of our party. We deserved much better exp.

So i pulled a helm beetle. Lol, The paladin says "Oh great you dumbass Krono"

So after a 2~3 minute fight ( typical without blackmage ). We slap the beetle around and i Got 200xp. level47, two levels under level three 49's.
and i got 200xp Great fight!

But Ssblowz, Ginku, the bard ( Forgot his name ), And shadowskulls were like. "OMFG THAT WAS LIKE A 10 MINUTE FIGHT!!".

Then ginku gets all pissy, and says he rather exp chain. I plead my case saying that we could easily pull and defeat another helm beetle. He disbands. and equips his Treat Staff II.

then ssblowz tellls me "You say some noobish things sometimes krono" and i'm like wtf.

So like 2 minutes later Our leader revinvtes the paladin. And the dark knight links two rumble crawlers right after. ( did i mention we were camping right in rumble spawn area?" )

So the bard uses a instant scroll of warp. and our redmage is dead.
So i shake my head, say bye, and use my scroll as well, then disband.

Then while in jeuno, the bard sends me a tell, "That was immature."
"Wtf you warped alo?" I said.
Then he starts saying how i had no team work skills. Yeah... right.... I was asking the dark knight a million times for his tp... just to get a SC.

Without nothing more to say, he attack my fighting skills, then as i try to replie he was already logged off.

End of my story, pretty fucked up, huh?
 
Exp chain 5 is much better than no chain on those helm beetles. Helm beetles is usually 50-51 with 1-2 blms. Those things are slow with a melee party, and since some were underlvled that makes it even worse. Also, I'm tempted to believe some bias in there about you killing it in 2-3 mins, that is way too fast for a party lacking a blm and underlvled melees to kill a helm beetle. As well, don't come down so hard on 90-130 exp kills, that's what my last party lvl 74 party in kuftal tunnel was doing against cockatrice in the basement. Always got chain 5-6 and we averaged 4.5k an hour. The 200 exp kill that takes forever isn't always worthwhile.
 
The helm beetle was open for a chain. we were ready to go for antoher helm beetle. And yes the fight was 2 to 3 mins.

You asked us what was good for a lvl 49 too level off of. I said Bettles in Garliage Cathedrial. Ecks said the same thing and suggested Rumblers in the Nest. I thought you were asking where should I level next being level 49. Ecks may have thought the same but I can not speak for him.

If you are going too pull stuff like that then I do not want too be in the linkshell anymore. Maybe I am over reacting but I am going too break the pearl and blacklist you. I feel its in my best interest if you are going too ask one thing in the shell, then pull something in a leveling party, then come here and post it in a flame war. I do not want no trouble. I just want too hang out with friends and play the game.

But.. Dave.. you know im still in the LS too.

I'm not quite certain exactly why your angry. I read Krono's post, and he wasn't saying bad things about us. Just mention that he asked for our opinion.

I can't help that the other people he partied with didn't like the outcome. Now, also, in this particular case, I think it might have been better for Krono to just stick with the group and chain the lower level stuff. Though, Krono, if you were in CN you probably should have tried Rumbler Crawlers before Helm Beetles. I can see why your party would have been kinda angry, at 49, with one 47 a Helm Beetle fight is going to take a while, though it will net you over 200 xp the lenght and difficulty of the fight is not going to impress a lot of people. A 50-52 group though, can take out Helm Beetles pretty easily, for roughly 150ish exp, so Helm Beetles are prime for those levels.

I only mention that you COULD take them out if you had a good party at 49. I didn't mention it would take a while and not be an easy fight, but I thought you could figure that out yourself. Glad your party survived, but you should probably stick with Rumblers and chain blazers when there arent any rumblers to get.

umm... Krono you were wrong...
chain 5 is much faster then Helm beetles
Helms are around the lvl 51+
you also did mention you had no BLM.
Beetle - Shell type monster those need.. blms
such as crabs etc.

I was sitting there in the party listening to krono and the PLD complain and bitch WAY before the fight against the beetle (which was defintely over a 5 minute fight). So they argued for awhile.....but both were to hardheaded to do agree on anything or to even be quiet.

So I kept saying stop the argueing and end the dumb drama I wanna gain my lvl. Did that do any good? of course not.

So after the drk pulled 3 crawlers not 2...I said screw it and used warp scroll...which Krono was ALREADY doing!!

I said my apologizes to the ppl in the group that were not argueing and didn't ruin my experience in that group.

And I did message Krono and said he was immature. I would have done the same to the PLD had I remembered his name.

All I wanted to do was make the group work out...but alas that wasn't meant to be.

well, contrary to popular belief, most of the time, doing chains on easier stuff will get you more xp than fighting the harder things for 2-3 mins for 200 xp hands down and usually alot safer than figting something harder especially when it comes to a link or pop
 
And also it was brought up that we could have continued chaining easier creatures to get the chains and the xp that was tolerable. But no use crying over it.

I had to mention to the group when all the argueing was going on..I miss parties with acouple of Japanese players in them. That cuts down on idle chit-chat or bitching LOL.

After reading your "TRAGIC" story I now feel sorry for you :cry: You really are a genuine n00b aren't you? Your theories on party xp flow is atrocious and you should cancel your account NOW. Please you are only hurting your party with this logic.

That bard is in my LS and believe me, Im so proud that my firm stance against partying with morons is rubbing off on her and everyone else in my linkshell. :P

dude your a fucking cold lair. This is pure BS. First off all I was never bitcing with the paladin until very soon before the beetle fight.
AND WTF YOU USED THE WRP SCROLL BEFORE ME.
Quit trying to look like the little cute self rightous tarutaru. You're a seldf centered asshole.

And if anyone even really ever played with me in a party who's not chicken shit to fight challenging mobs, knows that i'm a real cool guy.

B. I have to say you are mistaken in the fact u say that you weren't argueing earlier on in the party cause you were being abrasive from the beginning pretty much whenever you had your mouth open.

C. I'd rather gain more xp faster by chaining and haveing NO downtime (which i help with being a bard) than killing one tougher enemie.

D. Unless u were lagging really bad or high you would have noticed that we were using warp scrolls around the same time, with u leading.

E. And in closing....were u trying to call me a lair? or a liar? just wondering

I love when ppl aren't smart enough to read a whole line. "with you leading." that means with you going first to explain it to you if you missed it. This really is not a bad thing. If you are the first person that I have had major problems with and I have been playing for awhile. I guess i am doing better than most LOL.
