A farewell thread section

Usually when a poll is made based off another thread the OP has more than 3 other people wanting the same thing.

right but how many people are going to search for someone they didn't even know quit because the topic was lost on the GT board.

Hellstorm, further sectioning off the boards for a Farewell Board, while considerate, would probably take up more space than is necessary. I think, as well as a few others, that GT is just as an appropriate place to put farewells as any other forum. Afterall, in most of those types of threads they're going into detail about their good times and fond memories, so it also fits in.

At this time there just isn't the interest for it.

And as many farewells are goodtimes, some people like their farewells to be on the flameboard. By having a section just for farewells, it takes away the option of saying goodbye with a good "Fuck You" to everyone.

I think this sums up the entire ridiculous nature of the suggested idea.

It's really difficult for topics to "get lost." You log on and the sections of the forum where there are new unread posts are highlighted. You click on them and the threads where you will find new posts are... again... highlighted. If you're ignoring them or using the Quick Links to mark all the forums read then it's your own fault you can't find new posts.

And I'm sorry but I'm thinking if the person leaving is anyone that you were close enough with to warrant being made aware of their leaving, you wouldn't have to search QCDN to find out they'd left. Maybe it's just me...?

Hello common sense :)

After consideration with the whole team, we have decided against making this board. It seems unnecessary at this time.

Toodles noodles.
