A Galka Named Deadwarrior.

That guy is an idiot. SMNs don't need to be curing alone at that lvl. Even with Carby's single-target Healing Ruby it's still a waste of MP because Lizzies, Gobs and Crabs hit like mack trucks at times.

He's a galka, any galka that dares steps outside the mines is asking for death which "DeadWarrior" (hinthint) has faced multiple times, so is the galka fate.

And yes that is pretty crappy of how it turned out

I had a picture of this guy dead as well for like 3+ years ago. He's old school, and pretty much fails.

Hey, sorry this happened, and yeah it's really rough for a SMN to main heal at that level. Something I wouldn't try. You might want to try the maze I solo'd my SMN pretty well there. It'll be better than dealing with some of the people you find in the dunes.

btw... you guys don't have pl? >.> almost each dune party should have at least 1 pler now lol
You see thats why the dunes is such a mess now, every team needs their own babysitter, then you get get warriors reaching qufim that dont voke things off the mages cause they were told not to by PL so much, and mages with gimped skills cause they wernt needed as healers.

The correct answer is to solo your job to level 20. Unless you're a scholar. Then the correct answer is to commit suicide.

why is sch so different?

Before 10 you don't get the Art abilities. So your spell list is shit and you do shitty nuke dmg because of that. 10+ You get arts and your spell list slowly becomes better. It's easier to heal because spells don't cost as much, they heal for a little more, and they get Regen at 18.

Thanks for the warning

Try subbing /pup for sch. I duoed with another sch/pup and we were able to get chain 4 and 5 on evm/T monsters. I would like to point out there are other places people party at in a 12~14 range. Just like one can level 19~25 in a Party without touching Qufim. The maze was a great suggestion. You can also do the worms in korkalo <sp> tunnel near bastok. A trio lv 20 clear them out faster than they repop. So it should not be too much for a party 15+ with the right set up. Just need range attack and silence. Ghelsba outpost was a lot of fun in a party I had, we got to lv 16 I think. That was a few years back though.

When I leveled smn in the dunes I refused to be main healer because of the fact cure 1 is all i have that can be cast more than once a minute. A smn should never be a mail healer until maybe level 22 when we get cure 2. Even that can be killer. If you level cooking some bringing you own supply of OJ or apple juice makes leveling a lot faster.

Why would you sub pup?

Oh right you're a moron.

You're the most ignorant person to ever touch this site. I'd rather read Blazn or Cowlba over your incessant drivel.
Subbing pup is easily the most beneficial sub for quite a while. I know that 1-15 it is absolutely disgusting, but beyond that I've not tested a lot but the puppets are pretty overpowered as a sub.

Stop. Fucking. Posting.

Are you saying the little stat boosts the maneuvers give is that much better compared to any other sub?

Well lets look at what /pup gives at 30 you have resist slow. You sort of need the attachments attached to something for them to work. /Pup should not be giving a puppet just as /drg does not give a the wyvern.

Now lets look at what you get with other subs.

Starting with Dragoon: Jump and attack bonus more HP given versus /pup.

Warrior: Provoke, Def Bonus, More HP given than DRG, Berserk, and Resist Virus Stats

Monk: Most notably the HP bonus, Counter, Boost, Dodge, Martial Arts I, and Subtle Blows

Thief: Steal, Sneak Attack, Evasion I, Gilfinder, and Treasure hunter.

Paladin: Minor MP boost, HP boost probably slightly more than WAR, Defense up, Cure, Protect and Shield Bash.

Ninja: Subtle Blows, Dual Wield, and Utsusemi: Ichi.

Ranger: Accuracy bonus and Wide Scan.

Bard: Any beneficial song attack bonus, acc bonus, and regen most notable.

White Mage: MP boost, Cure II, Divine Seal, and other misc spells.

Black Mage: MP boost, Elemental Seal, Matk+, and Drain.

Red Mage: MP boost, Fast Cast, and misc white mage and black mage spells.

Dark Knight: Last Resort, attack bonus, minor MP boost, and drain

Beastmaster: Most notable Charm and Wide Scan

Samurai: Third Eye and Store TP

Summoner: Pets and Larger MP boost compared to BLM/WHM/RDM

Blue Mage: MP boost, defensive spells like Cocoon, Pollen, Head Butt and War Dance for attack bonus

Corsair: Experience boost, Acc boost, or attack boost.

Dancer: Drain Samba and Curing Waltz.

Scholar: Dark and Light Arts increasing skills to B level.

But...subbing PUP still does give you the automaton and it's mostly used for the mage frame healing you.

Now lets look at what you get with other subs.

Starting with Dragoon: Jump and attack bonus more HP given versus /pup.
An inaccurate(seemingly) attack every 1.5minutes. Minor HP increase.

Warrior: Provoke, Def Bonus, More HP given than DRG, Berserk, and Resist Virus Stats
Provoke(useless) Def Bonus, Minor HP increase, Berserk(Horrible for solo), Resist Virus(100% useless)

Monk: Most notably the HP bonus, Counter, Boost, Dodge, Martial Arts I, and Subtle Blows
Good HP boost, Counter, Boost, Dodge, Better H2H(useless), Subtle Blow.(my usual melee sub for 1-37) Fantastic if you have a PL or in a duo with a mage I guess.

Thief: Steal, Sneak Attack, Evasion I, Gilfinder, and Treasure hunter.
Steal(useless), Sneak Attack(only useful as 1st hit on nonsound aggro mobs), TH(useless)

Paladin: Minor MP boost, HP boost probably slightly more than WAR, Defense up, Cure, Protect and Shield Bash.
MP increase, Slight HP increase, Defense, Cure/Protect, Shield Bash(pretty much useless)

Ninja: Subtle Blows, Dual Wield, and Utsusemi: Ichi.
Subtle Blow, Dual Wield(only useful for some jobs, and even then arguably so), Ichi(garbage for solo)

Ranger: Accuracy bonus and Wide Scan.
Accuracy bonus(nice), Wide Scan(useless)

Bard: Any beneficial song attack bonus, acc bonus, and regen most notable.
Single song(sub only allows one song) such as defense, acc, atk, or regen.

White Mage: MP boost, Cure II, Divine Seal, and other misc spells.
Good MP, Cures/Protects/-na's, Divine Seal

Black Mage: MP boost, Elemental Seal, Matk+, and Drain.
Better MP, Nukes, Magic Attack Bonus, Drain(all complete garbage without natural elem/dark skill)

Red Mage: MP boost, Fast Cast, and misc white mage and black mage spells.
Miniscule MP, Fast Cast, misc mediocre whm/blm spells(all blm trash without natural skill)

Dark Knight: Last Resort, attack bonus, minor MP boost, and drain
Last Resort(trash for solo) Attack Bonus, Little MP, Drain(trash without natural skill)

Beastmaster: Most notable Charm and Wide Scan
Charm(only decent if Bst is > than current job.

Samurai: Third Eye and Store TP
Third Eye (1 atk, 60sec recast. Garbage). Store TP

Summoner: Pets and Larger MP boost compared to BLM/WHM/RDM
Large MP, but no use without natural mage job. Pets are useless.

Blue Mage: MP boost, defensive spells like Cocoon, Pollen, Head Butt and War Dance for attack bonus
MP boost, Defensive Spells(can be very useful actually, though without natural enhancing magic, meh)

Corsair: Experience boost, Acc boost, or attack boost.
Single Roll(same as brd. only 1 roll, decent but not amazing)

Dancer: Drain Samba and Curing Waltz.
Drain Samba(not bad but not life saving) and Curing Waltz(decent Hp return) job hurts WSing.

Scholar: Dark and Light Arts increasing skills to B level.
Light/Dark Arts are only useful for mage jobs, and are pretty mediocre at the level.

So please. Tell me how having a little buddy follow you around curing you and DDing is worse? In fact, even without curing.. I found it easy enough to fight 2 mobs at once, Automaton on one, myself on another. So again, /pup wins by a lot for a while solo.

And Arct, when you see names come up about people everyone hates, <3 the search function :)
