This probably won't come as a shock to people who knew me well, since I have been spending less and less time in-game recently, but I think it's time for me to say my goodbye to Quetzalcoatl, at least for the time being.
I'm not bored with the game, I could still afford to play, I wish I could keep up the adventurer's life in this wonderful world.
But I have yet to figure out how to put 48 hours into a day.
I'm afraid that other things are starting to take priority. My last year of school means that January will be spent applying to grad schools, February will be spent hardcore on winter quarter classes, and march will be spent gearing up for exit exams. So that's the next three months. Over the summer, my girlfriend is working in Paris, and so I might try to follow her there and get a job tutoring kids in English or Spanish. Only problem is, I don't speak french . . . yet. So sometime over the next 20 weeks, I need to learn conversational french on my own (something I've wanted to do anyway).
So I suppose you get the picture. Adventures in real life are pulling me away from those in Final Fantasy. It's been a fantastic time for me; I've loved the complexity of logistics over QCDN and such, and I wish I'd had the time to push through to the 70's and do some Dynamis. Maybe someday I'll have time to come back and finish ZM's and CoP . . . probably with a number of level 75 blue mages helping me out.
Best of luck on your adventures. The best parting words that come to mind are, "Be excellent to each other," and "Party on, dudes."
