Ok so heres my deal. I only want A hands from sky. I dont want to put months and months of work into something for one piece of armor. Plus, I dont want get my gear then have the shell think I will drop right after, as thats just plain rude! So I need advice on the best way to gets em

*edit*It was late and I worded the post all wrong. I gave the impression that my intent was to get an end game shell, get my gear, then go buhbye. This was just incorrect format on my statement and I wanted to clarify this.

I would recommend either buying the pop items and asking a sky shell to kill it for you and you can get the A hands and they get the rest of the drops our just offer a gil reward for the mitts.
 
A Hands are ticky because some shells have more than they can wipe their own ass with and other have a hard time getting them to drop. It may be best to talk to several linkshells that run sky (esp. the ones who have been there for a long period of time) and ask if they are nearing the end of their A.Hands list. If they are then offer to purchase them or help them out in return for the abj. Most shells wouldn't mind you getting the abj. and leaving if you tell them ahead of time or work out some plan for a certain amount of help = the abj.

Also if you want an easy, carefree way that will more than likely produce the abjuration free of charge with little to no effort PM me. Notice: I'll explain it in PM if you care, but the rule of "sounds too good to be true" does take effect as there's a catch.
 
A hands also drop off Fafnir, so if you're interested in HNMs you can get a pair pretty easily. If you have money, it can't hurt to ask some established shells if they'd sell you the abj. If you don't, ask your friends about their endgame shells. If the abj is going to hit the ground anyway, get a friend to ask if you can pop in the party to lot. The last choice is getting a small group of friends to help you out. Genbu himself is soloable by a rdm (slow as hell, but it works).

I'd really suggest asking your good friends first. People generally don't want to help a stranger get free gear, but if someone says something like "Guys, one of my blm friends is dying for a pair of a hands but can't find anyone to help her out and doesn't have the time for Kings. If we get Faf tonight can she come lot?" people are more inclined to help, or at least not protest.
 
FYI yiggit gloves are just are good, A hands/morrigan cuffs doing only 3 single more dmg than them, with a fully merited BLM (tested on puddings). And they are easier to get;
 
Groups who do Fafnir are less likely to need A Hands as well (as opposed to Sky groups), so you're a better chance of being able to buy.
 
Genbu can be downed really easily with a party, as can all the mobs that drop the items used to pop him. Maybe set it up in event scheduling.
 
Killing Genbu with 6 is your best bet.
 
Fafnir would probably be easier and the only thing you would have to do is pay and afk camp. I doubt it will be very expensive.

If you go the Genbu route you'll have to kick peoples butts and try to help you farm the pop items and compete with shells which camp him every night. Most shells usually have a ranger or a Tree(lulz, inside joke) up there. If you can get a good stable group to help you do this then this may be a good way to avoid some costs.

Gene, after me and Odonloltaru get our Genbu duo/trio/notatallreally things done I'ld be glad to help you out with fighting him.
 
Uh, likewise if there is gil involved.
 
HMK will do anything for gil, including moose stuff.

I sure hope you arent too attached to that first born of yours....

But yeah, just have a dependable shell merc it for you. Or you could camp Niddy and hope a shell kills/gets hands/doesnt have a person they want to give it to/happens to be generous. GL with that though....

What I really wanna know is where are all the pricks, assholes, and know-it-all jackasses that tore me a new asshole when I posted the same thing almost a year ago. =P
