So after coming to here from Boyahda Tree, witch was suprisingly packed at 9AM, we fight some Dire bats.

Everything is going ok. Then a THF comes zoning a Cutlass Scorpain. /Sigh. No warning nothing. Complete zone disruption.

So, then we are getting tells, the PLD(Who is JP so lets count him out.), the RDM, BLM, and I BRD, for us to raise there WHM. We all decide no. Let them learn not to cause downtime to others parties because of there mistakes. Did I mention that they did attempt to esacpe, but the THF missed it...

So then they get all pissy, I try to tell them its nothing personal. But this butthead SOB nammed Serus Decideds to zone a bat. Ok that's cool I guess.
No. We are fighting an Add ATM. So now I had to deal with 2 Adds. I'm sleeping like crazy, and eventally I get critical and die.

I wasn't mad that I died, I was mad that I got MPK'd. So I placed my GM call, yadadada the whole nine yards.

Finally things calmed down or something I don't know what happened... but they stopped zoning things. and we kept exping.

If you ever run into this Serus guy watch out. He's a real asshole.

Been seeing him in Jeuno quite a bit last couple of days. Bad to hear you got MPK'd its a pain in the ass i must admit >.<
 
Why didn't you raise their whm? That seems assholish.

Sure if it was the 2nd or more train then by all means let them rot but the first? Assholish if you ask me.
 
I know Serus well, been friends with him for about 8 months now. He doesn't have net access to defend himself (and he's on base in the military, so he can't just go to some net cafe, heh) so I'm going to ask him about his side of the story, and post it here.

Kepp in mind that regardless of what happened, I don't condone MPK under any circumstance. I wish I'd been online last night to hear firsthand about what was happening before things escalated to the point that a flameboard post needs to be made.
 
lol if I complained everytime I was mpk by someone zoning somehting I would own the Flameboard. Did you ever think to ask the thf to be more careful or to give warning. You just assumed he was an asshole. Its missconceptions like these which can really hurt a persons rep. Accidents happen and maybe it was just one unlucky day.

But then again maybe he is a total asswad and did it on purpose, if thats the case . . .

So hang on here. They zoned a Scorpion, and their WHM didn't have Reraise up (or didn't want a R1) so it's suddenly your job to raise their WHM?

I don't buy it.
 
I just talked to Serus, and have his side of it. Here's a direct transcription of the conversation. If I had Fraps, I's screenshot it, but I don't, so you'll just have to take my word as an impartial observer.

He also added that the only tell he sent you guys is: "Why won't you raise our mages?", seems like a good question to me.

BTW: this is Fellina again, logged on Osse's computer so I can transcribe directly from my in-game chat log. I forgot to log my own acoount before I typed all this though. >.< heh
 
Siding against you on this one. How does it "teach them a lesson" by being an asshole and not raising their white mage? That just teaches that your group was incredibly rude and uncooperative in an already crappy levelling place. This doesn't sound like an MPK, and it also leaves the question as to why didn't YOUR GROUP also go ahead and zone since you saw it being zoned in the first place?
 
1. I'm not shure if they had a WHM or RDM I can't remember.



2. I got a tell from his party leader saying that he is purposly zoning a dire bat.


3. We did not zone, because they are Dire bats, easy as hell. It was a mishap that I died.

4. Since when does it become my Responsibilty to raise everyone at this level?


5. The MPK was obvious and Im sorry, I don't care what you or Serus tries to say because it's biased.

I also think's it strange that a level 55~57PT could not handle 1 frigging Add. They are dire bats FFS.

If it's an "obvious" MPK, don't you think it would've been more than an "easy as hell" bat that it took a "mishap" for you to get killed over? :roll:
 
dont cry krono, i slap you all the time when i see you in jeuno.

anyhow, i'm sure it wasn't intentional. just because someone's zoning a mob or few doesn't always have to mean they're trying to mpk. not like there was an HNM around or they wanted to kill you because they hated you or any of your pt members.

a lot of ppl that pull as a THF or RNG are afraid to die on the spot when a pull goes wrong for the sake of losing a few exp points. that's why they "try" to zone safely w/o acknowledging the consequences of other surrounding exp parties.

oh well.

life moves on.
 
OK, here's my only question- if he was trying so hard to MPK you, then how come him and his group continued to XP next to you for a good amount of time after this incident with no further mishaps?

Shit happens. Even the best players make rookie mistakes sometimes, and have to zone like idiots. That doesn't mean they're all out to get you. :roll:
 
Their screw up their problem, they shoulda been men and eaten the death, I woulda raised their WHM then.
 
Just remember... what goes around comes around... I'll never refuse to raise someone.. ESP A WHM!!! Be qa "real man" and help someone out.

You guys are missing some big points.
1. They had esacpe, so zoning the first mob was not needed, the thf missed escape somehow...
2. I got a tell from his leader that the WAR/NIN serus will be zoning a Dire bat on purpose.
3. I don't recall them having a WHM and if they did, they should of had reraise on.

This is one of those situatinos that you have to be there to know what I'm talking about. So never fucking mind.
 
You've got me really interested now though. And wait, now you aren't sure if they had a whm or not, even though you were telling us that they asked for a raise for their whm earlier. Are you sure you weren't just hallucinating this whole thing? Maybe a lack of sleep or lack of fiber in the diet or something?
 
I stated on my second post that I could not remember if they had a WHM or RDM, I simply could not remember.
