a linkshell list

i was thinking of a idea where there be a hard copy list of the

dynamis
god
hnm
sociel shell
maybe put it in the sticky

purpose of this instead of having the never ending thread they could have a link to that linkshells and people can actually know how many na shells we actually got. This way maybe instead of have 18 new hnm, god
shell starting every week we could maybe move toward the possiblity of combineing shells to go after bigger and bader stuff. This way instead of the never ending trolling of thread and the look at me im a 65 rdm looking for a god shell. They can actually see what shell are on this servers. course this would need promission from the ls leaders, but this would help future people to find new home instead of wondering if some shell going pick them up. <also i think they should be in diffent catogorys>

and maybe divide the dynamis shells by days they run.

Dynamis, god and HNM probably wouldn't be - too much of - a problem, but a list of social shells would no doubt be a nightmare of a task.

Besides most people join social shells because their friends are in them so a list of them would be somewhat redundant.

Sounds like an idea though if anyone has the time to do it.

I always have time, lol. I don't know though, there's like hundreds of Social Linkshells, Maybe one day I'll go around looking at linkshells -.-;; To help some I could name now.

Here is a poll on this topic. If a large number of people respond in favor of the idea I will orgainize a directory of every LS on these boards who wishes to be listed. Go vote, and ask others to as well.

For those who are wondering... While this is certainly a daunting task, I believe i have thought of a rather managable way to make it work... so when i say i will do this if you guys want me to, i mean it

One could make a thread where social LS's ask to be put on the list. Maybe someone wants EVERYONE to know about their shell, or almost no one. So, instead of going to the LS's, make the LS's come to you.;D

My plan is to make a sticky in that board where the first 10 posts would be as follows:

#1: announcement of purpose of thread and how to post on it.

#2: Endgame (HNM/GOD/SEA) shell list with links to their post in the thread.

#3: Dynamis shell list with links to their post on the thread. (Organized by days they go)

#4: Role Playing shells wtih links etc etc... same for all the pages.

#5: Themed social LS's [limited to ingame race, real life interests, game-nation, world-region (RL), Crafting, etc]

#6: Social LSs made to help new players. (Sub job quest, chocobo quest, runs to jeuno, etc)

#7: Social LS accepting lvls 25-whatever. (Kahzam keys, rank 3, low BCNM, Garrison, etc)

#8: Social LS accepting lvls 40-whatever. (BCNM, Garison, AF1, Rank 5 (?), etc)

#9: Social LS accepting lvls 50-whatever. (AF, Rank 5, Genkai, BCNM, Garrison, etc)

#10: Social LS for higher levels (Zilart/Promithia quests, Rank 10, BCNM, Garrison, etc.)

Social LSs are devided by more what they are willing to do regularly than their actual level range. If an LS is made up of mostly 60+ and they don't want to do AF or Genkai 1 runs, they would be listed on #10. If an LS is made up of say mostly 40-75 but they like to help new players out, they would be listed on #6, and so on.

Like i said, posting guidelines would be in the first post of the thread. After that first page (10 posts per page is default, and i made 10 catigories on purpose so that no LS would be on the first page), LSs could choose to post on the thread, and i would add their shell to the appropriate list with a link to the page with their post so that people could easily get more info on them. If they don't want to be listed, they simply don't reply.

Basic Guidelines for the post would be as follows, though i will probably think of more later:

LS Name:
LS Leader(s): Shell holder first, than bags
Website:
Purpose:
Application Process:
Number of Members:
Leve Range:
Peak Hours:

Discription: We are a fun loving LS blah blah... we do [insert activity here] #times a [time period]. etc etc. This bit would be a whole paragraph, the others should be 1 sentance max.

Some stuff would be optional (website, peak hours of activity, etc), but others required (purpose, leaders, etc), and basically i hope would give enough information to help people get a better idea of what is and is not out there for them .

I guess i will go post this in the poll on the LS recruiting board so people can get a better idea of what it would be.... feel free to comment/make suggestions. what sort of information would you like to see shells list, and is there a better way of orgainizing this effort? thanks for the input in advanced, and please vote on the poll, i want to know that people would be using this if we actually do make it.
