so this happened just a couple hours ago, and it was rather saddening that stuff like this happens. My cousins, sister, brother and me went out to eat and just generally chill out as we are currently living in one house at the moment. So about halfway through our meal my dad calls me and says to get home asap as something has happened.

We all fear the worst and rush home to find two of our other cousins cars parked outside. already thoughts went through my head of the worst, we walked inside and my dad calls us into the office, as we go in we find a bruised and battered 12 year old who calmly says hey to my little brother. A little confused as to why he is bleeding and at hour house at 10 at night my dad calls us out into the hallway and explains the situation.

So it seems that his dad was beating him up because his cousin threw a hammer at him and he got angry and shouted back. He then got hit several times and then decided to run away. He had tried another friends house and then several other random houses to no avail, my dad recognises him and lets him in gets the story.

by the time we arrived he was talking to one of his family members on the internet and was telling my mum how he wouldn't go to their house as they beat him too. he tells us that his mum and dad are divorced and he doesn't know his mums number so he can't call her and he doesn't know where she lives.

my dad called the police but they didn't show up until the very end when we had gotten into contact with his aunt and she came to get him. she then went on to apologize about the situation and what not and the police took it from there.

now what shocks me is that my brothers friend said his family beats him...on a regular basis and he told all of us a different reason. what fucks me off is the fact his dad does this to him after having lost his child to foster care twice.

i just thought i would share this story with you guys but it kinda just made me wonder the kinda world we live in.

hopefully child services doesn't fuck this one up

I wish we had the whole eye for an eye system. Wonder how kids dad would like the same treatment.

It really is a shame that this happens. The kids didn't ask to be born. They can't help it if their parent(s) aren't fit. It's also sad that some people who would be good parents can't due to biological reasons. :( I hope everything turns out better for the kid.

yeah, he tried so hard getting in touch with his sister but to no avail, ended up striking a deal with his aunt. they promised he wouldn't get hit or anything but i can only find out when my bros spring break is over.

Eye for an eye isn't enough. I like the old Jewish punishment in B.C times.

Any debt, physical or monetary, unlawfully given to a person would be paid back four fold.

Kick his ass four times. See how he likes that.

Pucker up buttercup.

It really is sad to hear that crap like this is happening to children. In my household my Dad pwned anyone, but it was more from the combination of being an ex-Marine and having a short fuse that made me think about twice for doing mischievous shit. The kid needs to feel safe and obviously it's not going to be with his dad. Regards...

More reason that people should be required to get a license to procreate.

There are a lot of people out there who aren't even remotely fit to be parents.

There needs to be a virus that can analyze intelligence level and kill dumbasses -- effectively restoring survival of the fittest, just as Darwin had written many years ago.

sad thing is he father was probably beaten too. abuse is a learned behavior hopefully the kid can break the chain for when he has kids. it still dont make it right though

It is the support structure for those who can't take care of themselves (and funded by excess wealth) that allows us to bypass Darwin. If you want to view survival of the fittest in modern day society, just look at the majority of Africa. That is true human nature in action: direct competition for limited resources where the powerful few live in (comparative) comfort and the weak multitude literally starve.

Darwin in action. Nature is a lot more brutal than most people are comfortable in believing.
