I never said anything about anyones gear. I F**king added the gear/gil thing because read the damn flameboard you tard.

It was just a little idea on HOW to deal with some poor plays. jesus

first, no swearing, wrong board.

Second, it IS everyone else who has the right to comment on what gear you wear, because it affects THIER exp, THIER ability to kill X NM/complete X quest, ect.
The reason for all this extra gear? A) different situations, different armor. B) style. C) SE is retarded and didnt seem to think that if they make a certain piece better than another, everyone would flock to that item. D) to keep the market diverse to maintain an economy.

There are more then enough 75 newbs. A basic IQ test to qualify to play would be nice.

I also think that a basic IQ test would route out most of the idiots. But the mini-maat fight. I only really think thats a bad idea cuz of the solo ENM 60. But i also think it might be a nice change, because i dont know how everyone else did in G3, but i hated it to death.
 
The current tests have some purpose.

G1: Begin exploring new areas and learning game mechanics. The items can be aquired within an exp party, but often the areas go unexplored. The player learns to "ask for help" and build a team to do the task.

-- This is something the player will have to do every level there after. Some collaborated, some offered rewards to complete this. Understand that is an important test. Now it is often completed with the person needing the item standing at the foot of the zone while higher levels complete the task. That will be the same player who is strung along all the way to 75. Not always there fault, but if gil and gear were screened when I hit that particular level I would've never made it passed 50. I'd still be that lowbie tele-porting all of lower jeuno hoping that eventually I had 10 mil to pass onto the next level requirement. Or I'd find some high-level person to let me hold onto a lump sum of gil and gear to get strung along anyway.

I can hear it now "Hey san, can I borrow a couple million and some gear so that I can pass G1?" "I'll give it right back after I talk to maat."
 
I said this about an old game.. I think you should get a test from your moogle every 10 levels.
The test based on your job, SIMPLE STUFF you learned in the 10 levels.
IE: level 10 What does your (two hour here) do?
Which is harder, DC or EM?
Where as level 30 would be asking like, What does your (insert random /ja here) do?

Simple, but effective.. maybe just 10 questions each.

i thought what he/she said was on point actually. the original thread starting comment seemed to stem from his/her own sence of self importance. seems to fit the bill imo.

Nobody, seeing as how there ARENT ANY TESTS. Not that its will ever happen, its all just ideas by players that have no say on what direction the game will go anyways, but its all in fun. Quit bein such an asshole to people for giving their opinion on what they think should be the standard for the game.
 
Maybe if they did a test type thing simelar to FF8s SEED exams... lol, but not to influence anything other than getting Gil or Items, making a Genkai a quiz based on gear is just retarded
 
Even if there was a test with 10,000 possible questions to que from there would be an immediate sticky at Alla with everyone posting what questions they got. Soon it would just be print out cheat sheet and get them all right. :D Just keep it how it is.
