I need alittle guidance :(

What do you do when you feel like you cant do anything anymore?

Like I use to see myself doing big things in life but now adays im just barley skating by and it sucks.

Last night it was like 2 in the morning and i was justing in my computer chair completly unhappy. Im not happy with anything i do anymore at all. School for right now can go to hell i guess and my freinds are just blah half of them arent even real freinds.

My dads been deteriorating and i cant keep up with everything.

Just not happy anymore...

I had a similar problem for some time. The worst thing you can do is fall into a slump and basically give up trying. The best I can suggest is a change a pace, it might help. Even if you don't realize it, chances are you are making a difference. I found that out some time ago when I made friends with a person in middle school and never realized just how much it meant.

If you can, try and change what you can, and work with what you can. Don't do anything about the problem, that's no good either.

Eh, I'm no good at giving advice sometimes >.<

Going through the same thing. Mine seems a little more, depressing? I have severe depression and Anxiety issues. I know most don't like to hear this, but talk with a profesinal. The person i am talking to has really helped me. THough i still have a long way to go, couldn't hurt to just vent to someone.

I try :/

With my dads divorce its really hard to talk to my other siblings....and i even try to talk to his ex-wife but i get kicked in the face...

I try getting more involved with my freinds but its just so hard when it seems like everyone is pushing you away.

I guess ive been stuck in this rut for awhile now :( I guess i just cant deal anymore.

If my dad knew i was going to someone for help it wouldint help his situation....

This divorce has tottaly riped him open and he dosent even realize it...

I dono....but i know waking up everyday now hurts..

Actually, that's false, that was really good advice.

The best thing you can do when you feel that things are going down and you might be in a slump... pick yourself up. Don't stay stagnant because it'll just get worse.

Yes, sometimes it feels like negative/unhappy/lame people/situations/feelings are crowding you but you have to force yourself to get away from that. If you can (because sometimes its not exactly this easy), get rid of those things/people that cause you to have harmful/negative thoughts.

You say there are friends that you feel 'aren't really friends'? Well, try talking to them about that, if they end up being fake? Screw 'em, you didn't need them anyways. Try reconnecting with who you are, and who you aspire to be. Be true to you, and who you are, not anyone else (this of course excluding loved ones as they help make us who we are).

You mentioned that your father was deteriorating... well, I'm truly sorry to hear that, what ever it may be alluding to.

Life can't always be sunshine and unicorns, as I'm sure you know. Don't sit around and wait for happy to come slap you in the back of the head, it doesn't happen like that. Sometimes you have to work for it. Turn to those you know you can trust and are supportive of you and care for you just because you're you.

Good luck.

Dye your hair, apply for a job you don't really want, then turn them down when they say you're hired, get a tatoo, start a conversation with someone you think is cute, and don't worry about the outcome, do some difficult things that you expect to fail at (but try really hard to succeed anyway!), call an old friend, reinvent yourself in every facet, take a long roadtrip alone, then come back and tell everyone what you thought about....

...all those things are difficult to do for most people. The biggest thing you've got to do to help yourself, is probably quit FFXI and focus on things in your immediate life. You can always come back when things get straightened out. But this game takes sooo much out of people, it really does adversely affect your life after a certain time.

I'm not saying it is... but if FFXI seems to be the best thing you've got going at this very moment, you really should quit the game and focus on other things in your life.

All this being said, I have no earthly idea who you are, what your situation is, or how you feel about things in general. But I still stand by what I just wrote.

This is amazing advice, a while back i was in the same position, and i quit FF and WoW, started going out, talking to girls, getting dates, making friends. Also, me and my closest friends rented out a van and drove out to california for a week. It was amazing. Just do something out of the norm like Exim said.

(Awesome advice btw)

Thats the thing EVERYONE i thought i could depend on to brace a fall for me arent there anymore. My Step "mom" says im the cause of them spliting...My brothers and sisters turned faces and now i dont even exsist anymore. All the freinds i had there hate my guts now and i dont even know why...

All your guys advice is wonderfull and apreciated btw :/

Eh life happens like that. My parents divorced when I was 13 and with two younger siblings living with my mother I had to taken on the role of being a real big brother by keeping them in line, helping them with homework, and anything else affecting them with their lives. The adverse affect is that I had to grow up rather quickly and was not able to enjoy much of being a youth, but the plus side is that I was able to learn a lot about myself and life in general.

When things get pretty rough for me I usually just hop in my car and drive down the coast through Half Moon Bay and find a quiet beach. Then I either pass out for a little bit and then wake up and do some free verse. If you have the resources go on a trip, I found that helped me tons when I left San Francisco for two weeks in Hawaii. Change your scenery and your regular routine. Hope everything goes well for ya.

Well thats pretty bunk if your stepmom is blaming a divorce on you. Have you asked her why she would say something like that? Or your friends as to why they're acting the way they are? Get to the bottom of it, odds are they're being teenagers (read: stupid) and your stepmom was probably just venting her frustration at the absolutely wrong person. Because honestly, unless you were planting stink bombs in her toilet daily I doubt anyone could break up their parents marriage.

Seriously, put your Sherlock cap on and find out what the hell everyones issue is. You'll either need to work on something or decide whether or not they're worth your damn time and worry.

Don't get down on yourself, you'd be amazed at exactly how many people feel like you do right now, every day. This is going to sound very much like a 1980's Strong Kids PSA or something but, pick your head up and have faith in yourself.

And no more of that 'I dont want to deal, I hate waking up' crap. I just came back from California but I'll come back to kick you in the heiny for that talk.

Sounds to me like you need a creative outlet. Ever tried photography? Invariably, when you start looking for things to capture your mood, you end up finding some beautiful things, and normally it's about yourself.

It's pretty trite, but things tend to seem worse than they really are. You really need to find something jarring to snap yourself out of a depression.

If all else fails, do what Jim Brewer does, and just find a hammer and a really loud pipe to bang on.

i hate to be the downer, but as much as getting away helps, your problems are still there when u get back

I should try just driving somewhere :/
Somewhere really pretty.

I suggest Little Corona, you can see Catalina from there and there are some very friendly seagulls, especially if you have Hava Chips. Seriously, they'll do backflips >_>

...and another thing. Stand up for yourself! It'll make you feel better! Don't let yourself become everyone elses' emotional punching bag! :bb:
