A question for Goldsmiths.

varesko i dont think he was trying to say you were broke. or even that your system doesn't work. i think all he was saying is that your time could be better spent at gathering something worth more than what you are crafting.

if i have an hour to farm and my job is goldsmithing. i can either mine for materials or farm other things to sell for money to then buy my materials. you have chosen to do one and he is saying to do the other. in the end everyone will have to decide for themselves which works better for them. he in his post never said his way was an overnight success.

there is no reason here for either of you to start getting personal. and i see that that is the course we're headed.

P.s. no one mentioned the other way of raising your skill. and that is to just have your rich friend buy all the stuff you need so everything you sell is proffit. i think that would be the best way.

I am trying to help people by letting them realize that they are spending more effort than needed to raise their craft skills if they farm for materials... It's all hard work and I respect anyone that starts raising craft skills because it shows a long-term investment into this game and tells me they like the game enough to stick around for awhile. Or they are like me and sick of gathering resources :P

I have stated that this isn't the right path for everyone, just the best one that I can see. If you want me to back it up with real math I will get some examples tonight. It won't be too hard as I could blindly pick about any item on the AH and prove my point.

I was not mean or vindicative at all. How else do you want me to say you are wrong? You're fakkn wrong pal! WRONG! lol

The only mean thing I will say is this: You are blind to the fact that your farmed bat wings still sell as bat wings in the form of an Ether. You make no more money doing this just more wasted time that it took to synth the item and wasted time in a less profitable farming area. In fact you will probably make less, especially if you are skilling up on said item - for the simple fact that HQ dominates the AH. HQ crafters have the profit margins to muscle out the low level crafters.

Your idea of profit on crafting is to hide loss with wasted effort. It's short-sighted. Low level crafting is highly unprofitable - end of story.

/goodbye or whatever...
