WARNING: Long and maybe a bit mushy.

On September 21 Chains of Promathia will turn 4 years old. Our static managed to defeat Promathia last night in order to get our rings. This has been a long time coming for most of the people in the static and we're glad that we got to do this as a team.

Shortly after the release of Chains of Promathia, I joined a static made up of members from my linkshell at the time named Reverence. We made good progress and got up to Chapter 5-2 but wiped at the spire. The group was going to regroup and do the spire fight again later but I wasn't able to make it. I was barely level 50 whm at the time so I felt I would have been holding them back anyway since I level at a snail's pace. The static ended up falling apart after that mission anyway but many of the members went on to other statics and completed the missions.

My brother Chrisaga was on the first three promies when I began doing these missions but he quit CoP shortly after them. After my sister Hornless joined the game, I started the missions with her but couldn't really get a group together to get it all done. We ended up doing the first three several times for friends and a couple of subligar runs. Tristam joined the game somewhere in between this time and began on the missions himself. We made a successful static that lasted up until Chapter 5-2 again. It crumbled apart due to different schedules between members and we kind of gave up for a while.

Around February of this year we decided to start all the way at the beginning again. Hornless's husband Castro had just gotten 30 and we were hoping to get him more interested in the game by doing some events with him. Hornless started scheduling CoP missions from the start and asked me to help with them since I had tons of experience doing these missions. We ended up getting most of JamminTunes Lufaise Meadows access and our static started out with one full party for Ancient Vows with plans to make 2 full parties once we got everyone caught up to us.

Manbeast, Annalise, Mielikki(Zaltana), Chrisaga, Hornless, and I had a rough night during that mission but we finally got it together and won. For the Road Forks mission Morcheeba and Tristam came out with us and we got everything done with little problems (as long as you don't count people following me while I was going the wrong way). Tristam and Mielikki had to help the others climb up the mountain because I just can't do it. Then we continued with one party setup with just the people who needed the missions in them until we got to 4-2 The Savage. We felt with our available jobs that it might be better to get 2 parties. Ravensmage, Sulitas, and Shizzznit joined us. I believe Morcheeba did the fight twice so everyone who needed the win could get it. We all had fun and things were looking up.

Then I got nervous. Having been in two statics that broke at Chapter 5, I was thinking that it might happen again. Morcheeba took a break from the game at this time but Aelliana, who was a part of my original static but never finished CoP, joined up with us. Hornless and I did our best to be good on the planning and get everyone ready for the fight ahead. It was also exciting because after almost 3 years of being stuck on this mission I finally would be able to get it done! We planned the fight on two different nights so someone could repeat the fight without worrying about two hours. Finally on May 26 Both of our parties got Prom-Vahzl done!

Ecstatically we made our way through Three Paths but lost Annalise due to her taking a break from the game. Still our static was optimistic then 6-4 One to be Feared decided to give us a headache. We farmed the pumps, prepped up with the best medicines and food that we could get, and went into the fight only to be disappointed several times. After some help during several attempts from Elphaba, Brydan, Dani, and Myrrh we defeated the weapons!

With renewed trust in ourselves, we continued on our way and faced Tenzen. Shizzznit took a short break from the static for this mission due to working hours but we got some help from our friends again and got access to Sea! Zalt posted about that before in Good Times.

Over the past couple of weeks we made our way through 8-1 and 8-2. Shizzznit joined us for 8-1 & 8-2 again but decided to take a break from the game. We had a few other real life commitments that got in the way until last night when we were able to gather together and finish up the mission. I posted for help on QCDN and Lanien(Tymon) and Linhjah answered the call. Maddy and Galkz also joined us because they needed it as well. We gave it our all and worked as a team in order to get the win. Thank you to everyone for their help and congratulations to those who needed it!!

A few words for our static:

Aelliana: I'm so glad that we got to include you in these missions. You and I have been working on this for almost 4 years. You are an awesome player and a great friend. :)

Chrisaga: The best brother a girl could have! Yeah you stopped playing in the later part of the missions but I got you through it. You owe me. ;)

Hornless: The best sister a girl could have! I love you and thank you for helping me plan these missions and going through the headaches with me. I had a lot of fun playing with you and I probably wouldn't still be playing if it wasn't for you. Now we just need to build our gil up again. >.>

Manbeast: I am so glad that you stuck through the static during the whole run! You are an awesome player and I am so glad that you got 75 DRG too. I always enjoy playing with you and I hope to have many more adventures with you.

Mielikki(Zaltana): You are one of the few people who still play that knows me from the beginning when I was just a little whm. I am glad that you got your ring on your second character and I enjoyed doing these missions with you even though we butted heads a few times. Thank you for being a good friend to us. :) P.S. We're stealing Elphie! :awesome:

Sulitas: I'm really glad that you asked what mission we were doing during that Dynamis run. You are a great player and I have gotten to know you over the past few months. I hope to have more adventures with you soon.

Tristamgreen: I love you and I thank you for giving me that extra support that I needed sometimes during these missions. It is hard to plan stuff for two parties for a set of missions like these. I had a ton of fun doing these missions with you.

Annashu, Morcheeba, and Shizzznit: I wish that you could have stuck with us to the end but things don't always work out that way. If you ever need me, let me know and I will do my best to try and help you out if you choose to pick these up again. :)

Stole these pictures from Zalt since I sucked at taking screenshots last night. XD

Now to wait for the update when I get home tonight to get my ring. :shok:

Congratz make sure to do all the CS's the last one is pretty touching

Grats. You said you were about to do a CoP mission when I talked to you, but I didn't realize it was the final stretch. Very nice!

Chains of Promathia events gained particular notoriety to me as having the only event (a Subligar run well over a year and a half ago) that involved me physically throwing my keyboard.

I'm exceptionally glad we finished this, cannot wait to get my ring, and to never having to mess with PM missions ever again haha :)

Great work everyone, glad we saw it through.

I know you all have worked so hard to finish CoP and I'm glad I could be of some assistance (even though it wasn't a whole lot). I had a blast, and I'm glad to see you've recovered your literacy, Stine.

Thank you everyone. :)

Thank you for helping. Even a little bit is appreciated. :) Yes I got rid of my "ready skills" and figured out how to write again. >.>

now come kill omega with me damnit!!!!!!
Hmm.... I think it's a trap. You're just trying to get me killed!!!! ;)

You know, people always say how easy it is to get to Sea and many veteran players tend to talk about finishing CoP as if its nothing to feel accomplished about "today".

The missions aren't really all that difficult as long as people come prepared, but the problem in getting this expansion done isn't even the difficulty of the missions... it's the ability to get a group that can work out a schedule and stick together the whole way through. It's really not an easy thing.

So... congratulations to you, and to the others who were able to get the last missions finished! Enjoy your new CoP rings (go go Rajas!!!!) and take a bow! :)

Congrats on the COp sucess to you all, COP can be a long road to travel but the end result is definately worthwhile. :)

Great job guys, congrats. Now enjoy those pretty new rings.

I'm thrilled for you guys that you conquered CoP at long last! I know how long you have been wanting to get it finished, and I'm happy for all of you. :)

Congratulations! I really regret not taking Trist's offer to come and tank in 8-3 and 8-4 last night, but it looks like you guys had an awesome time.

I agree with this 100%. Have everyone in your static go and get the last cut scene in Lufaise at Blueblade fell together, it and 'Distant Worlds' are both amazing...

Quick edit: Now get that Limbus shell started Trist! Lowered costs after today!

Congrats guys :D

Fuckin' awesome guys.

Very glad you were able to finish CoP! I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you that much.

But still, Congratulations Stine, Trist and the rest of the Static, and thanks for letting me tag along for a bit.

Grats to you guys..

May I one day be able to beat this damn expansion too.

Stine and Tristam, thank you both for lettign me join you on impulse that night after farming in dynamis. I had done dozens of CoP statics before i joined yo uall and all had given up without any progress, and I joined you all figuring it would od that same. You guys kept me playing the game and got me interested in playign again. I'm on almost everyday now like i was years ago and having enjoyable and reliable people from JamminTunes doing the event gave me all the motivation I needed ot keep my RNG up to the Missions caps and woodworking up to afford it. I fele like I'm finally begginning to get somewhere in this game after so long.

Too be honest I have mixed feelign abotu ending CoP, I'm glad to have accomplished it and I'm sad to see the static end, but I'm sure I'll definately be waiting for my next adventure with you all. After all, when i travel with JamminTunes I actually feel like I'm adventuring. So thank you, and I look forward to our next adventure. You too Manbeast, Aelliana, Hornless, and Mielikki, I didn't use you by name in this post now that I look back on it but yo uall are very much included in what I said!

PS: Divine Might is next
