A warning about Nikki

I'm gonna keep this short because I'm tired and pissed off and don't want to rant on about a flame. I don't like posting these but people need to be aware of this.

Started a Summoner burn party with Holyvalor and I was helping him pull for the holder. Pulled a good sized group and set hate onto the Holder, which was her first time tanking for a burn party. She died once but no problem, took hate when unweakened and all is good.

I disband from pull/holder party and escape back to Basty mines to change to Summoner. As I zone into the tunnel i notice some drama chat in pt chat. Go to find out that there is a person there killing off our mobs. First i was shocked to see that and when i get to camp most mobs have less thatn 50% life and some get whiped out.

Nikki was the person responsible. Gave no real reason as to why she ruined a burn for 7 people. Said our leader was rude when she asked if there was room in pt or w/e. I really don't know the circumstances but I only saw the result of the little quarrel. If she had a problem with the leader then she could of handled it in a different way. But she had to ruined a burn pt for all of us because something crawled up her... well u know.

I don't know why a person with some good gear and seems like she/he had plenty of end-game experience would pull such a childish and noob move on a group trying to get some fast experience points.

I put this here as a warning to not invite her in any burn pt as i told her I will ruin her next one. An eye for an eye. So warning to those that don't want to have their time wasted. DO NOT INVITE HER on any burn pt.

I'll partake in burns, and they take some time and effort to setup yes.

But QQ that your exploited merits/jobs leveled was ruined once, some bitches had me mad enough to do it before, but some of my friends were in those burns so I left them as-is.

If your leader wasn't a punk bitch about it, perhaps Nikki wouldn't have gone and fucked your day up.

Blame your leader for provoking Nikki before blaming Nikki for being vengeful against someone who was being a douche.

On the real: If I do any burns, Nikki will be welcome with me, unless I've got someone in my party who's got a legit beef. Hope your next burn goes better, Mush.

I've been invited to a party by Holyvalor.

Was RDM/NIN around Wajaom/Bhaflau level.

Kept insisting on inviting another RDM, when I went to head to camp I see he didn't change.

Argued the hell out of me missing out on the party of the century with my SAM and that one RDM will heal the party, while he hastes and DD's insisting it was something supernifty!

He was a douche when I suggested he change subs and scoop a BRD-COR or if there were none, perhaps another mage/mage-type to back him up.

I'm sure Nikki was justified in their anger, though perhaps ganking the burn for the rest of the party wasn't nice.

I see people desperate for burn invites enough to hang out in bastok areas with seek comments offering gil even, kinda figurred that some people that didnt get to join in on the fun would eventually start trying to spoil it for others.

Kor tunnel has become quite a action hive of activity since smn burns become the latest in fad, its sad that people try to ruin others fun but I find it almost sadder that nobody grinds exp anymore, they just sit back and burn it lol.

It is, I didn't burn anything until my Cap was done and SMN was just kinda staring at me.

I'll admit for jobs where my skill is capped and something like DNC(where my THF capped dagger, eva, etc) where grinding it up is more of a formality and it's not a huge learning curve like trying to play a good BST... I'm up for burning it.

But mostly I don't get invited to leech job, I just use them as welcome merits for all the jobs I never cared to merit yet. .-.

Speaking of.

Anyone set these up often, I'm up for pulling and burning my astral flow if you don't mind a leech now and again. ;D RDM and SMN75.

I really don't know this Holyvalor person. And I certainly don't know this Nikki person from a hole in the wall as well. I have seen Holyvalor in the tunnel whenever i was in a burn pt (5 times) and he has been patient and amd hasn't started anything with other burn pts.

This was the first time I actually did a burn with Holyvalor. What transpired between him and Nikki I don't know. He says he didn't answer her /tell about how long we were going to be. Common sense on Nikki's part if she took the time to observe the setup is that we were getting ready to start and the pt was witing for me to get back to camp from changing jobs. Thses pts usually take 30mins or so when all is ready. No one else was at the camp going next.

What peeves me the most about it is that Nikki didn't apologize to the other memebers about ruining the burn pt. Absolute dick move IMO no matter the circumstances. I wouldn't have flamed him/her if there was an apology to the other members of the party.

My friends would be the saving grace of those parties unless I got an apology.

Someone starts shit in the group, the group suffers as a product of it.

They can hate me for being vindictive(more than half the server does already lol), but they can blame the dumbfuck who got on my bad side.

If my friends are there, I'll just dismiss it and tell whoever the offender is to piss off or I'll give my friends a fair heads up not to waste their Astral Flow.

Summoner burns I feel I have carte blanche to fuck with if I'm offended, they're like MPKing in Campaign.

You may be ruining people's potential XP gain, but not causing a direct subtraction to the XP they've accumulated or bringing them closer to a delevel.

Skewed view? I'm sure it is, and I won't argue about it.

It's my view and there are many counterpoints as to why it's "wrong" to many, and I understand them fully.

I just don't adopt them as my own.

I think it's a cheap way to a Maat's Cap(yeah, these don't mean so much anymore - they used to mean time invested, but that's kinda pissed away with these burns).

Most of these burns just give us underskilled SMNs with no talent on the job.

Just be courteous to people who're asking about the zone availability or openings and politely decline them if you don't have an opening.

I personally have not yet interfered with a burn, and probably won't.

People don't fuck with me much in this game, and I don't fuck with them.

In fact, I go out of my way and help a few of them along the way.

Call it dirty pool since you're stifling the XP gain of the non-offenders, but maybe the offender and the non-offenders cursing the two of us will make him think twice next time.

Far as the XP PT went:

Didn't take the party and I went out of my way to explain party Dynamics.

Think he learned so far, and it did ruin my day as much as I think he did.

No invites rest of the dull afternoon.

Just lucky I felt like experimenting in the kitchen and making myself a fine lunch that day. :/

I never really make sense, and I don't think I'm going to start now. x_o

Out of all that appalling logic, the only real thing I need to reply to is this:

I don't condone burning (in any fashion) getting to 75. But just because I don't agree with it, I certainly wouldn't (hypothetically; retired) jack up other persons' exp just because they feel it's a legit way of going about business.

I don't like how AT&T and Verizon give the consumer the stiffy on their pricing scales, but I'm not going to go place cell jammers around their towers just to fuck with them.

Next time reconsider before your rude to a random person, especially when you're in a vulnerable situation (i.e., SMN burn), where someone can easily ruin what you are trying to accomplish...

I'm sure a lot of ppl would consider ruining someones SMN burn if they get the response "Mother fuker" to their /tell inquiring about a burn pt. Now considering revenge and acting on it are 2 different things, but... still best not to provoke someone like that.

Could also apply the same sentiment to BLM burns, which leaves your Ele and enfeebling magic in serious need, as well as having BLMs that over nuke. Not that soloing BLM to 75 teaches you how to not over nuke.....

Basically the only way anyone should level any job is in a well balanced party of Tank, DD, DD, BLM, Support, Healing Magic. That way everyone learns their place no?
