It's not the excuse being used because as Nogara illustrated, it's not Boto's account.

In bigger end-game LS'es it's common/popular to have people who share their account info or have bought accounts to use as a community bitch for certain jobs it may have.

Now this was a RUMOR I heard in the past, and not exactly parallel with the question, but it still crosses paths somewhere down the line and this topic just refreshed the question in my mind.

Wasn't an OLD prerequisite to sponsor/obtain a relic in Kaizen that you had to share account info so the account was handy/passed on when the original owner quit or if you otherwise had a prized account worth much money/gil/gear obtained through the LS?

Account swapping/sharing isn't exactly new.

I do agree though that it's never a -valid- excuse for deeds done with your name.

I think Nikki covered owning up to it. He is Chinese Hexx so I'm sure he was doing his best to communicate to the board in English but I would give him a break on his difficulties with the language barrier. I was going to second this also. I waited until I was capped exp with capped ele skill and enfeeb skill to BLM Burn (only because no one else would merit with BLMs). Some classes are kind of forced to go out together because no one will party with them. I always used to get a kick out of my BLM being needed for events but, after dying repeatedly, the very people I just helped would laugh if I asked anyone to party because it was assumed I would just BLM Burn. I miss the days of waiting for a SC to MB. Probably one of the many reasons that lead to me quitting.

Now you know how the paladins felt.

This and This. I agree w/ these two... isn't it strange. I hated coming blm to things because I would ask to come to merits and the only merit pts I would get would be with like Ardenbruk or Gregedor who didn't care if I came SMN or BLM to them as long as I could keep up.

I dunno, I always thought Nikki was really nice and he's always had a hard time acquiring gear because of the time zone difference and NA shell's conflicting run times. I would pull strings to get gear as well. I did, too. Remember BOL gave their first pair of w.legs to my DRK. Job priority? Hardly.

Anyway, he's been nothing but nice to me. I've been invited to Salvage runs and long before that, he synthed a 20M item (at the time) on a whim, without question.

I'd be pretty pissed off if people talked shit while I'm asking an honest question too. Right on for not letting them get away with it.

The sad thing is, you all persecute people for joining Absolution and without a doubt I can say this story wouldn't have happened if Nikki wasn't with them.

It's a shame really, because a lot of the people who disagree with how Absolution decides to play the game, albeit botting or not, (holy shit, cheating in a video game) they still manage to make MILLIONS off people who buy their N.heads and Ace's helms. The even more shameful aspect of this, is a majority of the people who publicly disagreed with how Absolution plays the game are the one's BUYING THEIR GEAR.

The people who bought gear. You can't say you didn't have the time to join a linkshell like that. What a pile of bullshit. You had to camp the Aery to even see if the item drops before you could purchase it.

The hypocrisy is so delicious I can't possibly hold back my ear to ear grin.

Keep it up Nikki, you're finally in a shell that cares about their members and I congratulate you on that. He made the right choice, by the way. Joining a shell for Einherjar isn't really an option, it takes way too long to acquire gear at a fast pace from Odin.

That's one thing I've noticed since the decline. There's linkshells who scrape by doing Einherjar and what not, who basically gave up gearing their members in Dragon's Aery. They say they're "fully-geared" but that's a LIE. LIARS. Fully-geared Tiamats/Dark Ixions/Sandworms... lol What a crock. Droppin sum gaiters!!!!!

You still have many members who deserve gear they were never given but don't bother pushing the 110% effort you did in the past. Why? The people in charge who actually gave a shit about gearing their LS (botting in the aery, oh my) stopped giving a shit after their core of friends/family were geared. They've either quit the game or stopped caring. It's not just ONE LS, too. It's ALL the linkshells who have left the Aery and Attohwa Chasm.

People in Kaizen, Integral or what have you. I really appreciated the invitations but I regretfully declined them to join a linkshell that camped the Aery. It wasn't in vain either, I finally obtained an N.head (without paying for it) after YEARS and YEARS of wanting one.

Had you invited me when you gave a shit about gearing your members, I would've joined in a heart beat. Call me greedy!

I know I've given people shit in the past for joining them, but it was from pure jealousy. Rarely would Dez claim and yeah, that brings down morale. They pushed through the HARDEST time this Aery has EVER seen. People gave me shit for the countless King Behemoths HNMPT claimed, they had a lock down like Absolution did until we finally got a defending ring for Cuester. The thing is, Linkshells of the past would still compete against us and I believe that's how Pers' 5/5 Koenig Aegis PLD (who actually wears that shit to tank) obtained his defending ring. They cared, they persevered and got what they wanted. NOT ANYMORE, big bad people who are open about botting are rampant now.

We stopped camping shortly after I got my cap. It really sucks, because I know for certain there were members who wanted one too.

Side note: Someone did GMed me, so I got a chance to talk to the GM about burn party. GM said its legit to do smn burn.

You don't see them harping on Nikki besides agreeing amongst themselves that he overreacted. Sorry but I've been on the receiving end like Nikki a whole number of times and I dished it out so many times, again and again, because I wasn't going down without swinging. Ultimately it cost me my account. I'd do it again, because I'm not a doormat. Only different thing I'd do is have sent my valuables before getting banned, lol.

Ill let you in on a little something, I've also had my fun ruined by idiots, be it through no fault of my own. I go about the game doing my own thing, helping my LS mates etc etc. Its when I see this kind of shit that my blood boils. Plenty of people fuck with this game as well as other people's enjoyment of this game and after a while you can only take so much, just like you said. Im not a fucking door mat either, and to be honest, had no issue with Absolution until some of their LS members joined a certain merit pt of mine. Said incident was already discussed and I'm not going to elaborate too much into it, but needless to say, my fun, along with the rest of the pts, was ruined due to some people wanting to be jackasses. Which is why when I see some idiot fucking up other peoples fun/work in the game, I get angry, VERY angry.
