another example of people not having any self-motivation at all, except to trail along on others.
Im farming in Davoi and anon. when i get a tell from this fellow:
help me out paladin quest.
its kind of a given that if your in davoi people just assume that /shouts and /tells for pld quest is what you must be there waiting on them for.
i respond, sorry im busy now.
he asks where
and i reply E-10.
about 10 seconds goes by, and i know this guy to likely just be hanging out as zonein spamming /tells to people. and he comes back with " I cant find it, show me where."
at this point i was getting a tad annoyed. too often do i see ppl come to davoi, no map, no sneak invis, and just assume that someone there will take them.
oh yes, did i mention this person is a 59RDM/29BLM?
perfectly capable of finding the Pos i gave him (I gave, he didnt know) with some effort and work.
but hed rather have his hand held.
so i told him, "you know i wonder if when your lv 70+ and get constant requests for help, if youll appriciate excuse me, are you busy now? and requests that sound more polite and less like demands". (him compiled with all the /tells i get non anon is annoying me lately)
instant reply "fuck you buddy dont lay a power trip on me /blist ass#$#$."
"your lv doest mean Shit" (guess he didnt get the part about lv 70 getting constant requests for help While non anon. and im Anon.
he said a few other meaningless things. so i just /blisted him.
im so annoyed with ppl like this, just pure lazyness. 59 rdm shouldnt want their hand held.

Its not even pure laziness its just stupidity... I'm just to the point where i dont respond unless i know the person..
 
it really bugs me when people don't even give it a try =/
 
lol.... this guy is on my friends list.... but let me tell you a story about him..

And if you ever read this Aandj, this isn't a flame against you. It's just you weren't very experienced with this.

I was a level 30 whm helping a friend gain a level (yes yes..evil powerlevlling, actually the last time I helped someone powerlevel and this was a long time ago since I've stopped powerlevelling people). In the canyon, I was helping my friend.

He comes by and asks wow, can you level me too? He's level 15 rdm. I tell him, at your level, you should be partying because i can't help you. But Aandj fights beside us and nearly keeps dying so I, the nice taru I am, throw a cure his way.

He asked if I could help him level sometime and I was sooo negative about it because levelling solo is sooo tedious at higher levels and very inefficient. But I was answering a lot of questions he had at his level so he added me to his friends list.

So sparatically, I hear questions from him over the next few weeks. THEN, all of a sudden, I see he's reached level 28 or so... and he asked if I would party with him. I told him I was already in a party and asked him why he didn't get his own. He told me....he basically SOLOED to his level. Partying only six times.....SIX TIMES!!! Now that's just insane. Educated him, some bad parties is not representative of the possible GREAT parties you can have.

Needless to say, he then super power levelled to 50 because it seems he's very level conscious. I don't think I've asked him for help after. He was level 50 and rank 1 or 2...can't remember but not past 3 for sure. This part shocked me....

So that's my experience with Aandj. If he is still asking for help at his level, I don't think that's very impressive at all..... so what is that called? a Noob? :roll: Sorry Aandj
 
I PT with him at lv 59. He did NOT know what a Magic Burst, nor HOW to do it...at 59! I believe people have PT with him, seeing as he never seems to lv, and for good reason ><

Its strange. Everybody has generally negative experiences with Aandj, but I have had nothing but positive ones. He was on my LS for a long time and helped, from what I saw, quite a bit.
I've chatted with him at length and he's a good guy. Well, two guys. If you didn't know, its A and J.
He helped me with my af1. He gave me very good tips on lvl ~30 farming, which I have passed on to as many in my shell as I can. I even call it the "Aandj Method"
Maybe he was drunk at the time you all saw him. I know I play terribly when I'm drunk. Its more fun to play SOCOM when you're drunk. I digress.
Aandj hasn't been anything but cool to me.
Not that I'm calling y'all liars. I know people in my LS who have big problems with him.
He's allways good to me.

Before I do any quest I read guides for it on FFO and Allakazham and then I round up a few people from the LS such as my in game Fiance Jender and Falkner my IRL best friend and we head off into the abyss and we never ask for high lvl help unless they offer or are helping us not knowingly like when they build up a train of like 40 yaguados and kill them all = there we go trail clear smooth sailing.

I'm in the same LS as Dale, and Aandj was good most of the time. I know one night we were out doing AF's, and he came on and kept bugging the ls to get help for his coffer in Castle Oztroja. And he was drunk. Quite annoying. Then he disappeared a week or two later. I don't know if he was kicked or whatever.

I have seen Aandj around a couple times. Mostly in Giddeus when I am farming Yag necklaces. An LS member of mine and I were there "train farming" and I know I know, free game.....but he wasnt just picking one off he would wait til we got a nice train together and AoE them as we went by. Killing our efforts. He would just sit and wait for us to come by. Made me kinda mad but no worries, Karma is unforgiving. Just thought I would drop my experience with him down here.

He's actually pretty notorious for it.. I saw recently that he's gotten a couple ranks, but for a long time he was 55+ and Rank2, spending the vast majority of his time hopelessly seeking.

I joined many parties that were desperately in need of a Rdm, sometimes about to split if we didnt find one, and still everyone knew better than to suggest we invite Aandj. It seemed as if everyone on the server had at least one terrible experience with him..

In *some* situations he's been nice, and in others (Genkai1) he's been close to being BListed, but I reserve that honor for the truly intolerable, and he falls just short of that and lands somewhere in 'incompetant' instead.

yes. I agree with this kind of thinking 100%. he was on mine for about 3 days and ive since removed him. It was mostly to stop the incessent /tells he was sending. my blist is home to just 3 permanent members. anyone else that gets onthere is removed after a few days.

But yah, I only have 2 people on blacklist after 8 months of play, and it was both due to very intentional acts of rudeness towards a large group of people that resulted in either lots of time being wasted, or someone leveling down. (Our only 40+ Blm who will remain unnamed warped themselves out of Eldaime after getting the high lot on the first papyrus that dropped.) That's the kind of thing that definately deserves a spot on a blacklist, since it shows a complete lack of care to better anyone's situation other than their own..

Bad players can [almost] always be turned into good players, as long as they're willing to take advice and have everyone's best interest in mind.
 
It's funny, but you tend to hear about notorious players around the same level and job as you are....RDMs 55-65 I keep then names Aandj and Gilga.....

Makes the rest of us seem better at least :D
 
Mithy will never be on a bad rdm list, unless... mithy is drunk... and mithy likes to hear songs from her subjob over and over and over and over.... mithy is also under 21 :lol: :lol: :lol:

unless there are some assholes, like little level 50-something whm "this is our spot go away fucker" i reply "theres enough for us, we will stay and camp here" "*stupid shit by little*" then i go "Shut up little" when he goes "u wana die bitch!?" (yes, only 1 n on the wanna, plus also used "u") odly enough, some of the stupid shit he was saying was that they were a much better party then us, so their puller pulls 2, gets little killed, everyone zones but me, i cast blink phalanx and stoneskin while everyone else is panicking, that kileld our whm, but it also kileld little, so, i stand on top of his corpse and go "funny, im pretty sure you were the one who said "u wanna die bitch" hmm, odd how this works eh?" then i add a little "fuck you" because i was pissed about him threatening my life and calling me a bitch... but he proceeded to send me a /tell "i think u are gonna die." i at that time, had the aggro of 3 crabs.. while letting phalanx blink and stoneskin do their thing, i zone, blist him. one of my party members said, he threatened mithy, kinda funny how he died, can i see the words <poetic, justice> in red and green? :lol:

also, his little taru friend petey, he was the second on my black list, from days in qufim where he DEMANDED his friends get into the party over more MUCH more qualified cantidates, i figure ok, we need the blm, its worth it, when we get a ghoul (or whatever it is in Q, i forget) and petey dies, blames it on the pally who used invincible, but if petey wore better equip he might of lasted more than 1 hit. so then, him and his friends team up on the paladin /em boot petey, his friends start cussing me out, /em boot petey's friend, /em's party is now composed of mithy and paladin, /em rebuilds,

now... petey is a 50-something rdm, who was in little party at the time, he was sooooo bad, his own PARTY started yelling at him in /tells /says AND /party (i had a mole in the party ^^ moley moley moley mole, chop it up into some guacaMOLEy- austin powers) why? because he wouldnt cast dispel, and as a 55 rdm whos been through her army of crabs, they have 3 or 4 different buffs, and they like to use about 3-4 a fight (often repeating right after i dispel) petey would only cast dispel once a fight, for "conserving mana" perposes, HES A FLIPPIN TARU, he has more mp than me, with RSE AF rings, earings, hairpin, sword, need i go on?
