Abortion video

As far as rape or incest, I don't see the need to make someone live with a child inside of them that they know came from a rape, perhaps by a family member and reminds them or makes them relive it for 9 months. And in the case of incest you run a high risk of birth defects.

Even if every baby was put up for adoption, who is going to adopt all of these kids or are they just going to stay in the system for their entire lives without familes or loved ones? All of these people say put them up for adoption, but where will they be when it comes time to adopt these kids?

I have my own personal views on things but I would rather our country be a democracy and not a theocracy.

Better for the children to grow up in foster care than to be raised by an uncaring parent(s), or by a parent that isnt able to care for their child.

If your parents will care for your child, then thats a different story, but they have lives to live too

"It's killing... It's killing a human person."

A human person? That's not redundant. *cough*

(Edit: Wow, what a fucking pushy camera-guy.)

It should be a good thing that all those people get abortions too. Think about it. The human race is growing at a rate so fast that the earth can't support us. Even if it's a few hundred thousand a year that's still a lot when you think about it.

Look at it this way. Abortions can equal cures to illnesses and a planet that can live for a few more years.

Part of the reason why the worldwide population is exploding is increased life expectancy, especially in developing nations (i.e. India). Imagine how exacerbated the problem were to become if you were to eliminate a significant portion of diseases. Now obviously in your situation I can easily understand why you are in favor of stem-cell research. I am also in favor of it, but I also see the role that disease plays in keeping ecosystems in check so I can really go either way on the issue.

Here's a nice solution towrd not having a random "accident." Use a fucking condom. Dont we have the morning after pill as well?
If you wanna go ahead and have sex without any form of birth control your ass needs to be prepared to raise and love that child as he/she is your reponsibility.
Yes there are exceptions like rape/medical conditions but abortion is IMO just being used as a quick easy solution to get out of responsibility for your own actions. It is taking the (possible?)life of a human being and eliminating it for the sheer convenience of it. That's just my opinion. I wont go crazy like some of those extremists but I am entitled to my opinion on it.

Ruffy you have to realize is there isn't enough foster homes to harbor all the children that are unwanted. That is why a lot of red neck horrible parents that are lazy asses that rely on medicaid and other government programs.

Or be gay. :o

I'm against abortion in all cases except when the mother's life is at risk; there's no sense in allowing the baby to live for less than a year if it'll kill the mother.

Also, there's another special case: my mother's third child, the one after me, was going to be born with severe, severe defects, which would make its life very hard and most likely short. She had an abortion, but didn't tell me until I was much older.

I think she did the right thing...religious people would say it is God's decision when to let the baby die, and if God is real, then that is a valid point, but I don't think so.

The world is overpopulated enough as it is. Kill moar babiez prz.

In all seriousness, I'm not a huge fan of the abortion process, but... there's a wide variety of situations in which it's arguably appropriate. The old "abortion is wrong unless the mother is at risk" argument rings hollow to me. If you're going to play the moral high ground card, you have to realize that it's never acceptable to kill one person in order to save another. The slippery slope for that particular argument ends in killing poor people and harvesting their organs for the rich.

Honestly, in my opinion, the pregnant woman is going to be carrying the baby in her own body for 9 months if it's healthy.
She should have a say in making the decision of whether to actually have it come into the world or to kill it. She may not have the means to support it, she may not be ready to raise a child, she may not want one ever if it's to the extreme.

Accidents do happen, and if the woman nor the man wants to keep the baby, then it should be left up to the woman to decide since its in her body that it's going to be growing. Why should she be forced to have a baby that she doesn't want?

I saw the video and the girl was saying that the punishment can depend on if the woman that got the "illegal" abortion did it knowingly that it would kill the fetus. If you are going to get an abortion, aren't you supposed to know that you are indeed killing a baby? I mean really.

Yeah, I found that odd

They break. Thats how my friend got pregnant. (she's keeping it for anyone who's wondering.)

The quote makes sense when you realize a lot of these pro-lifers have a very dim view of women from the start, which is why you get all this "informed consent" bullshit that tries to drive home the point that women choose abortion because they just don't have all the facts about their options.

The idea that a woman could make a rational decision to end a pregnancy because it's what's best for her own life scares the fuck out of them. That's why a lot of these idiots, when asked what the logical outcome of making abortion illegal should be, are keen to throw the doctors in jail but reluctant to charge the woman in question with murder. It's insulting to treat women like victims who have no input in the decision when the decision rests with them and them alone.

I don't care why a women chooses to end a pregnancy. It's her call, and everyone else can mind their own business.

no birth control method besides abstinence, getting tubes tied, or vasectomy are 100% effective, assuming the latter two were done correctly in the first place.

I was on BC pills, I know a girl who used 72 hr pill and it didn't work for her, I know another woman who got pregnant 4 times on birth control.

and btw, day-after pills can be dangerous, and P-pills can be dangerous as well. If a woman have a history of stroke or other diseases within the family, it is recommended that she does not use COCP's.

Additionally, I have no idea what it is to be honest since I were drunk when she told me, but one of my friends have a disease of some kind where normal COCP's doesn't work on her. It still allows her to get pregnant while using it, so she got some sort of special birth control pills. However, those doesn't have full effect on her either, so now she's just stopped taking them altogether and stick 100% with the condom. My other friend have a disease where her period makes her unable to do anything. Basically in so much pain that she just have to lay in bed during her period. Apparently, if I remember what she told me, her doctor said 90% of all women with that problem will be unable to get pregnant either way.

Two sides of the same coin.

That may be true but you are talking about a minority of cases there. I sincerely doubt that most of the world's "accidents" involved the people using birth control.

I have an in-game friend, who got all of their kids through accidents, being that the condom broke.

My friend can't use COCP's since they have no effect on her, and several real-life friends got kids through accidents.

Birth control isn't 100%. It never is. Its not as minor as you seem to think :p

I'm against abortion @ all costs, if its rape or accident put it to adoption, but no one has the rights to end a life no matter the reason. (Just saying from my religious view)

I can understand the being Pro-life, Amid, but to say a rape victim should be forced to carrying that child is just, ridiculous. :/ The woman didn't have a choice about what happened., and then you would want her to carrying the kid, and just "put it up for adoption." Religious views or not, that doesn't seem right to me.

Non of the pro-life people answered my question if its right to force a 10-12 year old victim to give birth to the baby =(

Yeah, because all the kids in the Foster Care system go to loving, wonderful, attentive parents..

1/2 the time most children in foster cre get put in worse places then they started out with. So what you're saying is it's better for a child to have a miserable suffering life, then to not live at all... >.>; That sounds like a Lose/Lose situation to me, bud.

well of course not.. because "abortions are evil.. its killing god's children" is their only argument.

should abortion be used as a form of birth control.. no. It's generally unhealthy for the woman having the multiple abortions, and that is just irresponsible. But to say that a woman should have absolutely no choice over her body, is just wrong.

Pro-Choice, do what the fuck you want with your body, I know I'd not be too happy if someone started bitchin' about how I treat mine.

And I think the way it's treated, is that it isn't life until it's drawn it's first breath, which is why a murder case collapsed a few years back.
