About the World Merge and Character Transfers (02/09/2012)

In order to improve the player experience, we will be merging Worlds on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.

To ensure that the World merge is fair for all players, server transfers will be required for all existing characters. Players must select a new post-merge World for their characters, and will be reassigned automatically should they not do so by the established deadline. We urge you all to review the World Merge Summary and Notes Regarding the World Merge.

i love how they are making it 10 all new servers and forcing all players to transfer, now there will be nothing left from the current server community's, and anyone wishing to return to play with friends is out of luck.

Good job SE, I now couldn't give two shits for ffxiv 2.0. such a shame

oh well, Swtor is loads better anyways.

Not sure why SE makes such great efforts to make something simple so bloody complicated... >.>; Could have just brought low pop servers together...

The implication is that all servers are low population, and the reaction they got when they rolled the low-pop servers of FFXI into the med-pop servers was resoundingly negative from the folks making the move.
