Double Post!
Also, I am not a leader of SD but I have mediated with Absolution - so I don't see why what Urat did is a problem with you Trist.
The Leaders that run Wednesday nights are not home from work until 10-20 mins before we actually enter Dynamis, so I was the one who spoke with someone from Absolution about which zones they were running before the leaders logged, so we didn't have to scramble last minute to find a free zone if they would still be in a zone we had planned on doing that night.
I don't necessarily see how Urat speaking on the behalf of his Saturday Dynamis shell is wrong lol.
Tristam is kinda of an asshole.
Just trying to get a reaction out of Urat (who is like 16 years old..). Too much free time, yo!
It doesn't take much effort to check the schedule and is not worth the amount of drama it causes. Its just annoying and im not just talking about someone taking a zone you have scheduled. Part of me thinks, we all play the game, we all pay our own bills (well.. most of us), dynamis isnt instanced so anyone has the
right to enter and play in the zone.
As a way of being organized and working together as a server we the majority chose to use a dynamis schedule to avoid conflicts as well as be more organized, which is great.
However, when you have new players coming to the server, many aren't aware of QCDN as most of us use bluegartr. I only QCDN for social reasons, I don't really read much of anything on here thats I use to me in game in terms of quest/NM/map/, for that I usually goto BG or ffxiclopedia.
If you look up the background checks on the leaders/core members of Absolution, you will find them quite positive for the most part. These aren't rejects or assholes. These are respected endgame players from their own servers.
That doesn't make things they've done here right but you kind of have to have an open mind to people. When respectable people come here and suddenly are so hated. I remember the leader of abso even posted on BG about coming here and starting this HNMLS and bunch of ppl cheered him on AND encouraged him.
I think this is a simple case of people coming here, not knowing about qcdn, although it probably wouldn't have mattered and because of all the bad public feedback, what was once not an act of maliciousness, but better for a lack of knowledge is now them just not caring.
When people fuck up(incl. yourself), the better approach in my experience is to take time to talk to them about it, and resolve it quietly. Sending them nasty hate tells, trying to mpk them isn't gonna make them wanna follow our servers rules.
I would think the majority of us want them to follow the qcdn dynamis schedule and evolve into our way of doing things.
What Urat etc did, was the better way of approaching things and would have had a better outcome from the start had someone taken the time to do this.
