Absolution -- Dynamis Zone Sniping

My name is Nogara, I'm a sack holder in Absolution here to say a few things.

First off Shirai, the reason for lack of response is because we the leaders didn't have FB access, and up until the Jeuno incident most didn't know of QCDN or the fact that there is Dyna scheduling here on this server.

Most of us are not Quetz natives, only a handful of our members are.

Why Dyna scheduling doesn't work fo us.

We're an end-game LS with events in all forms of end-game but our primary focus is Kings. We have 2 set days in which we plan Dynamis, if a King window falls during our planned time we either postpone Dynamis until after the window or we cancel it outright, this is why scheduling doesn't work for us, we can never predict the future as to when a Kings window will fall.

I know it can be frustrating to lose a Dynamis zone to another LS, I come from the most crowded server where it was an everyday occurence. We will make a better attempt to look at the zones which are booked and try not to cross paths but we can't guarantee that it won't ever happen.

As to the 2 LS's complaining that not only did we "steal" your zone but we were rude in the process. When we're being bombarded with rediculous /tells like "QCDN is LAW, you MUST follow QCDN", or "We're going to run you off this server and make life hell for you", we aren't going to respond respectfully to that, we'll either ignore it or retaliate. I spoke with one member during the Jeuno incident who was very respectful, and in return I gave him a respectful response, but when someone sends us threats or stupid comments, I do not expect my fellow members or leaders to put up with that. We did not "steal" or "snipe" your zone, there was no LS gathered when we entered so to us it was a "free" zone.

We're not here to make friends or enemies with other LS's, we'll do our best not to cross paths but can't make any guarantees.

Couple of things:

I'm not sure which members of which shell were rude to you. I know that Ury shared a few words with a leader, and he said that the leader was rude to him - since there isn't any SS and he said/she said sort of thing, I really have nothing to stand by, other than I hope it wasn't one of our members.

The enter time for our LS is 7:30, with a gather time at 7:00. Some members had started gathering at 6:30 and saw your LS about to enter. This is why you didn't see a LS waiting to go in. I recall asking you what time your shell usually enters a zone, so I would know if there would be scheduling conflicts in the future.

Ury mentioned that a leader said they wouldn't be using QCDN or the scheduling. After this flame was made, I promptly responded that QCDN scheduling is not 'law' and we would just have to do what we could. The fact that our scheduled zone was in use angered a lot of members, who just left instead of waiting around for the leaders who would decide which zone we could do. Bastok and Sandy were already taken on the schedule, and since half of the members that wer on left, we didn't have enough for a Windy, Beaucadine or Dreamlands run. We ended up not being able to do any Dynamis.

As I mentioned before,I hold no ill-will to this shell, nor am I trying to start anything. My main focus in this thread is that scheduling isn't going to reverse a zone indefinetly. We were not trying to make enemies, and I hope that no one in our shell was being rude.

As for your last comment, wouldn't it be easier to avoid crossing paths with other LSes by checking the QCDN schedule from now on >_> ?

Anyways, like I said, I hope this incident does not cause any rifts between our members and yours.

Even if you don't want to post a schedule for your shell, you could check to see what zones other shells have scheduled and pick a different one. I think that would be a nice compromise. Why would you say that you couldn't guarantee you will be able to do this?

While your shell's leadership may have not been aware of the dynamis scheduling section for QCDN, many of your members most definately were aware. Whether they told you (as in leadership, not you personally) and you disregarded it or they just didn't mention it, I don't think you can really claim ignorance as a defense.

-A lot of you members know how sheduling is being done on this server, you can not claim ignorance. Especially considering Quetz is not unique in this regard, almost every server in this game has some form of dynamis sheduling.
-Seeing you moved here I assume you did some reading up/checking out of this server in regards to amount of people/camps/dynamis/communications used (alla?ki?others?), it's very hard to believe that you simply overlooked all of this.

The way I see it, you took a gamble, and it didn't turn out too well seeing the amount of negative 'pr' this has generated for your shell.
As for a solution, check the shedule, preplan your dynamis, check it again to see if there are free slots in other zones incase you have to delay due to kings. Or simply ignore kings in favor of having set dynamis times.

Or you can ignore the sheduling all together, it's not going to make you many friends, but hey, up to you ;)

You guys seem to not realize that the dynamis scheduling is a courtesy and as such use of it is voluntary despite what any of QCDNers seem to think. Whether it is ignorance or not at this time they are not using it.

Both sides have merit here.
Absolution-
They don't want to have the schedule dictate how they play their game. I can get behind that. If they wanna do 10 Xarcas in a row or enter when it suits their schedule around HNM's that's their right. It makes me understand why Deja said what he said in his comments. If nobody is gathered there to enter, the zone is not taken, there isn't really theft going on here. Unfortunately it pisses the scheduled people off.

The Dynamis community that does follow the schedule-
You adhere to the schedule and spread out your zones to benefit all shells and not be selfish in hogging a zone. I can get behind this too. It creates less conflict and allows for equal distribution of the zones. Unfortunately it forces people to play the game on the communities terms not their own.

I hope Absolution tries to look at the schedule a little to try not to enter your zones but if they do I'm going to have to say they are well within their rights and thats just something you will have to adjust to.

If you had bothered reading my initial post, you would have seen that this issue has already been brought up over and over again. Yes, Dynamis scheduling is a courtesy.

Double post!

While it is annoying that our slot was taken, we have to remember that Dynamis Scheduling on QCDN is an act of courtesy by the shells that actually use the scheduling. It's unfortunate we'll have to scramble to find a free zone, but you can't ask everyone on the server to adhere to the schedule, especially if a shell chooses not to register and look on QCDN before entering a zone.

Spoke to someone in the shell, and I don't really have any ill will towards them. They don't have a set time for Dynamis on Wednesdays, so it would be nice if they checked QCDN schedule before they pick a zone when they decide to go in, but that is the way things work in this game sometimes.

So live and learn, heads up to other shells on Wednesdays, you may or may not lose a zone.

I try not to pass judgment, and like I said, QCDN Dynamis schedule is not law to this server (though we certainly appreciate the efforts of all Dynamis Leaders and our current overseer of scheduling, Morwen).

Quoting for emphasis for Dejavu and others who may have missed it -. -

No Zephayra i saw your posts however i was commenting on basically everyone else in the thread who do not realize that it is a courtesy

Wouldn't really put out the Absolution folks to just glance at the board and see which zones are taken as they begin gathering for dynamis and then going to a different one. Then everyone wins and you don't anger half the server. *shrugs*

And yes we don't need to split hairs about "courtesy" and other nonsense anymore, that point has been beaten to death already. No one's required to be "courteous" but it would be a sign of good faith to do so.

A courtesy yes, however you can also say when all related shells for a long period of time follow it, it becomes the accepted norm. Of course there have been incidents and mistakes in the past, but in general the dynamis running shells on this server adhere to it.
As with many unwritten rules in this game, and in real life, it turns the arguement around - it is no longer a courtesy to follow it, it is expected of you to do so.

However in the end Absolution can do and please what they wish, because as long as it doesn't break the ToS, it's fair game according to SE.

Everyone in this thread fully realizes that the QCDN Dynamis Scheduling Board is a courtesy, and not the gospel.

They don't need reminders, and they don't need to tack on a disclaimer of "remember, it's only a goodwill gesture to others that some people seem to despise for some bullshit reason (like Dejavu, for example)."

From what I have read, it is also the response the shells were given when they asked about the zone after it was occupied. Absolution has sniped a zone three times. After the first time they were told about the site, so that ship dows not fly about not knowing. If a HNM window falls during their planned wednesday runs, gee there is a dynamis schedule stating times and zones, so they COULD plan around the window. They know atleast one day in advance of a pop window. This is just poor time management. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes to check on QCDN for posted dynamis runs. Yes it is a courtesy to post here, but this is a game that requires the effort of many to get things done. One would think players would want to act in a way that would insure other players would be willing to work with them.

I have no sympathy for Absolution. They talk shit about everyone and anything. They stretch the truth about rival shells and certain circumstances to make themselves look better. They use a $2500 program to claim HNM, and brag about it.

I lost respect for a handful of people who joined them, people whom I thought were level headed. Fucking shame on you.

Stealing a dynamis zone is a not shock. They think they rule this server.

Do not be fooled when they try to play nice. And shame on you when you act civil towards them.

*Spits on the ground* Fuck Absolution. I've never hated a shell more. I'm not jealous, I'm not envious. I just hate shady scum.

Im capped on anything i could use from any HNM, so its not that i really care. I just think its funny that they think that the program they bought gives them bragging-rights. No shit noone else kills anything when their program doesnt give anyone a chance to.idnt have everything, i guess i would be pissed to.

If i didnt have everything*
