not sure what you mean, Saocide. I came here from another server and I have friends in most of the LSs, everyone seems nice even tho ppl get mad about some aspects of the game, but that is to be expected, ppl get upset whenever they spend copious amounts of time at something. This game takes alot of time, otherwise it would be WoW, right?

Yeah. I totally understand where you're coming from. Bad LS = need to hop servers. Leaving the LS doesn't make sense at all. I guess this is another case-in-point for the social ineptitude of botters too? What the fuck kind of a misanthropic creep can't settle differences is a fucking game...? Ran out of allowances to buy a FFXI dispute settler bot or what?

The funny thing is, if you want to make an argument against both a) and b), the only choice is to present a c), and so far, you're unable to do that. What you've brought to the table so far is "I bot" "I am cool" "I don't wanna say anything about RL cause I'm embarrassed" and obviously, hilarity has ensued.

I've merely insinuated a correlation, and the clowns who are trying to desperately defend themselves against the claim *are* the foundation (if you didn't get it, that's you and the absolution gimps). Wait, are you even part of the Absolution clown show? If not, just look at you. No one has even said anything to you to start out with (hint: thread title), and you're here making your pathetic attempt to defend yourself. Obviously, you felt a need lol.

Yes, ostensibly so fast that you apparently missed an o in "too," which totally bolsters your implication that you're not *really* a buffoon like you present yourself to be.

This just makes no sense. You claim anyone who bots has no real life, and then when they defend themselves they automatically submit to admitting just that.

You still haven't defended the fact that your arguments are baseless. I made a spelling mistake, which you picked at, and then lumped me into the group with the "Absolution crew". I'm not in their linkshell, but it's the fact that any time botting comes up on QCDN you all act like it's the 8th deadly sin and completely misrepresent it.

How about this:
Everyone who doesn't bot has such a vapid and empty RL, because they're afraid of getting banned. They won't bot or attempt to excel at the game because if they got banned they'd commit suicide.

And that's a total fact, I won't listen to the other side.

Try going outside for once faggots LOL

Holy Fuck 53 pages!!!!

what have we learned from this topic?

1.People bot. Yes!
2.People enjoy bitching over ignorant shit. Yes!
3.We found out abso is not all that. Yes!

think its time for some of you to grow the fuck up and move on.

I have avoided responding to you, because you are dumb. But I will anyway.

I will agree making generalizations about people who bot is a silly exercise, but simple things can be ascertained solely from the fact someone bots.

They want to claim more, they want items, they want to kill certain competitive mobs more.

That sounds reasonable to me. Now ask why someone wants to do that. Most likely they want gear, or they just really really like fighting a particular mob. I think it is fairly obvious that the majority of people who bot, bot to get gear.

I guess the question I would pose to you is why do you feel the need to bot to get gear? Why is gear from a few NMs in the game so important that it becomes necessary to you to bot the shit out of them to get it? Moreover, I think there are plenty of people who play FFXI who do not even touch said NMs, or do and do not bot - this is a choice. Why do you think they make that choice?

I believe some people find enjoyment in different areas in the game, or in the same areas without botting. Some people feel some sort of moral conscious about it - which I think is kind of silly considering the way I am sure SE views its player base; at least in the past. Most people probably don't bot because in their weighing of costs and benefits (both irl cost and in-game) they don't believe it is worth it. Which is their choice - much like botting may be your choice.

My question is therefore also why do you choose to bot and why do you believe that camping kings (which is probably the only thing besides like KA that is botted extensively) is such an important activity in the game that you are willing to put your account at risk for ( I say this in that you obviously value your account to some degree, if you don't give me your account info) and moreover so important that it is worth getting something like NASA for?

Also, your whole statement about committing suicide is like in defiance of all rationality - maybe those people simply put the value of their account simply over a piece of equipment that their character may equip.

Youz silly.

Newsflash pumpkin: using a bot to claim NM's and do the hard stuff for you does not mean you excel at a game. It means your bot excels.

I'll simplify it for you: if you have a personal bodyguard, and they punch someone who's stalking you in the teeth, the bodyguard excelled at dealing with the thread, not you. You did nothing and let someone else do your work for you (or in your case, something).

Botting isn't a deadly sin, you won't go to hell for it, but it lets everyone know how much of a twat you are, and how much you obviously fail at ffxi without said bot. You botted from day 1; have you tried playing ffxi without cheating? If you take a look around some time, you'll see some people who really do excel at this game, not use some bot to gain an unfair advantage over everyone else and then claim to be uber. You should shut the fuck up about now.

This thread is really pathetic now.

Sorry, I guess you didn't make the logical connection when I said you and the Absolution gimps are my supporting evidence. Here, let me be explicit. When I made the suggestion that the fools who fail to recognize how valuable other people's time are are probably people with no real life commitments to speak of, two or three Absolution clowns showed up to prove me wrong.

One was an "aspiring dentist" who was nothing but an ignorant boy who doesn't even have a high school diploma. 1/1 right there.

Then came the head clown of the Cirque de Absolution. Turns out he's just another loser who plays FF all week long at US peak hours from England. Needless to say, I don't think he has too many RL commitments either. 2/2.

Then came you, the moment Absolution's alleged botting came up. Who are you, and what makes you relevant in this thread? Doesn't the fact that you showed up JUST to point out that you bot and you felt the need to defend your RL speak a million words about how you look at yourself? Peer into the mirror and ask yourself "Why the hell am I trying to save face when no one has actually attacked me directly?" You probably know better than the rest of us. You probably make this 3/3. Good hit rate so far. Bring in more of your botter friends and let's see how far it deviates from 100%. Probably not much.

How about this:

*shrug* Ignorance is bliss, right? I don't bot, and I think I have a pretty satisfying life at the moment. I just know that if I were placing my bets on whether you've ever seen a W2 form, I'd bet no.

Is it really that hard to think about? People who actually worked their way up in RL know the value of time. They also know what it means to come out on top in a real competitive environment. They have the confidence that they can get out what they put in. These kind of people know how to play by the rules, cause they've been through it in RL.

What kind of people bot then? They're the insecure weakings who have no confidence in their ability to get anything out of their time. They are either people who have yet to experience a true competition in RL, or those who have tried and failed, and are trying to live a successful life vicariously in a fictitious world.

At best, you're a hedonistic child who has no respect for others' time. At worst, you're just a failure in society. Feel free to pick.

This is again, a clear generalization and total misunderstanding of botting. The fact that you keep going on with the botting = no skill tirade proves how incredibly illogical your argument is.

Give PinkPkuucha NASA and they won't suddenly be able to kill Tiamat. A bot doesn't make up for a lack of skill in a game, it makes up for retarded spawn conditions and overwhelming competition. In this game I run slow, so why would I run to Sandoria rather than POS hack there? Why would I sit at a camp for three hours when I can have my bot do the work for me, and come back in the room when it starts playing music?

There's no skill involved in anything a bot does for you. Automating claiming, fishing, walking, crafting, etc. are all thinks that require a pressing a few buttons and then enter. If you really feel any of the aforementioned activities require skill, then you are a fool.

What you're implying at this point is that you wouldn't cheat if the game were less tedious.

Empirical evidence suggests that you're full of shit.

Cheaters, which is what you are, as a general rule cheat for two reasons. First, because they're lazy, and something is too "difficult" to do the right way. Second, and far more commonly, because they seek an advantage in any competitive endeavor.

Remove the blatant time sinks, and the cheaters still cheat, they just justify it differently.

This is, again, another common misconception about botting. There's no risk involved in botting if you do it right. Like I said, I've been botting since day one, and have been once in my entire life for naming my mule Douchenozzle. SE doesn't know how to detect botting in their own game if done correctly.

You really have answered your own question here. I bot because the gear from the HNMs that I claim is sold to buyers for gil. My LS banks gil for the month and then pays out based on attendance. For me, botting enhances my gaming experience because if I bot, I get increased rewards.

Last month my payout was 6 million gil. With that gil, I bought six Cerberus Hides and and made two Cerberus Mantle +1s, which I sold for $390USD each. In the end, I get to play this game rather casually with my friends, in the top LS of the server, and make $6-800 a month just from bank payouts. This is also ignoring my profits from king arthro and salvage drops.

Remind me why not to bot again?

lol
Lazy doesn't rationally define not wanting to sit at your computer pressing 8, 4, and 6. If you'd like to call me "lazy" for not wanting to do something that's boring and inexplicably tedious, then go right ahead.

Difficult is not the right word, either. Like I have said before, if you think walking to sandoria, fishing, crafting and claiming HNMs are "difficult", then you should probably play WoW. If you think they are boring, then get a bot.

If they eliminated the "unreasonable" time sinks, cheaters would still cheat, on the justification that the remaining time sinks were still too time-consuming.

But they're obviously not too time-consuming, as the vast majority of the player base accomplishes these tasks with regularity and without significant complaint.

By the very definition of lazy, that fits the bill. You're a lazy cheater. Good for you.

I'm sorry It all just started sounding boring and repetitive, I'm just gonna assume you called me names in some fancy way. Bot is a bot is a bot, like I said no matter which way you slice it, you have no cred. Consider these responses, well the responses from alot of us, an honor and you should really treasure them. We ARE too good for you, that's the best part of it all.

What? Still gonna throw "I still claim your Fafs!" at us? Like its been said before, you all are the rats crawling on our eaten plates sifting through the bones for a morsel. You really are nobody to us, especially me, and I hope these delusions you suffer from stop soon.

You see this server is a very nice and welcoming server, if you guys didn't come in pretending to be the "end all, be all" of hnms shells, we would probably be acting different. Is it so hard for people who move here to act like civilized humans and attempt to have some sort of class? Here let me give you some advice: If you weren't your leaders bitch, like the whole shell seems to be, and made attempts to be a decent guy. We would actually accept that and things wouldn't be going so ugly right now.

The part that really sucks is I bet you guys have some really cool people, but since even the heads of your shell are tasteless and worthless, A lot of us don't even want to know them.

I'm not in Absolution, dumb faggot. Read harder.

Who are in game again? Can you tell everyone your name please. The Character you bot on more so.

Thx

One assumes it's Mansin of Titan.

Or we can just ban him for not putting his character name on his account, either one works for me.

lol

There is such a thing as being patience lazy. If you do not have the patience to play a "boring, tedious" game than you are in fact lazy and not very well disciplined.

Thinking further, if you label a game you chose to play as boring and tedious and use that excuse to cheat, why don't you man up and quit instead of pussying up and cheating? Go find a not so boring game that you will cheat at anyway, as Raesvelg so eliquently explained.

Or are you just pathetically addicted and cream your pants in RL when big ol' fafnir turns red? LOLOLOL mom come look, faf is redz again 11!!!!111 I'm awsome /flexes in my monitor.

Try going outside for once faggots LOL

I find this very ironic. Why do the small dogs always bark the most?
