Okay here the story goes. My lady was in garliage with some friends. Can't catch a party, and I ask her if she wanted me to lvl her. She says no she wants me to play and make a party for her. I figure okay this will be fun! I'm really excited, and so is she.
Pickings for member are slim but through bribes and favors I manage to get 5 members, RDM RDM SAM WHM WAR. Not the best but, with a BLM it would have been okay. I contact a BLM in port jeuno, only rank 2 or 3 I forget, but I was lvl 50+ and rank 2, out of lazyness, so I didn't let it bother me.
I invite him he says okay. We wait and he comes. Then I invite him. and he declines... , I figure it was an accident. I send the invite again. And again it's declined. I ask him why he keeps declining. He says sorry I just got invited to an LS party, goodbye! I honestly can't belive this. I belive in putting friends first, but accepting a party invite is the same as giving your word! I said to him, well please tell me you had the courtesy to find a replacement for yourself!
He replied, I was never in your party, I don't owe you anything! I told him accepting an invite is the same as giveing your word! So as far as I'm concerned you are a member! You just waisted mine and everyone elses time! How do plan to compensate us? He said I don't owe you a fucking thing! I said I'm afraid you do! You don't accept invites and agree to be a meber of my party then try to fuck me over, because you think you got a better offer!!
Normally this would not bother me as much considering, it was in garliage. And dealing with players who's edecate is far below sub par! But I took such great offence to it because, I was playing with my better half. And what he did was disrespectful to her! It's one thing to spit in my face, it's another to be disrespectful to women in general, let alone my wife!! It also pissed me off because I have been trying to shelter her from the negative aspects of the game, such as this, and NA vs JP ect ect ect...
Anyway in the end we didn't ever get the party made which is the way it goes sometimes. And we went and killed qudavs in rollanberry together. I don't think I will give the name of the player but, I will say my exspectations of players have been considerably lowerd from way back from when I started.
