Accounts Being Hacked!!

You obviously don't know much about computers =) Pentagon, nasa, and whitehouse websites get hacked so often, because it's miles easier to get into than something like se's servers. the real important servers from the goverment are less often hacked, and usually unhackable without a curropt official due them not being connected to internet, or editable from the internet. Seriously, whenever you hear people hacking goverment computers, 99% of the time, someone defaced their website, goverment doesn't care much for the public website, and hire the cheapest programmers, who in turn fail to protect against sql injections well enough.

Now on top of that, the goverment is known for being highly incompetent in the realm of computing, SE probably isn't doing too much better, but it's not unreasonable to say that SE's servers are in fact, more secure.

Government Web servers and what we are talking about are 2 different things.

I know Blaze was hacked (heard through word of mouth).

Now Did SE say anything about it?
Did they do anything?
Are they goin to do anything?
Do they even believe you?
Did someone hack SE servers or is it still someone stole my account/password?

I doubt anyone woulf of hacked SE's servers to steal accounts - however I don't doubt it could possibly be an inside job, I wouldn't be suprised if SE stored passwords in plain text. Anyone who could successfully attack SE's servers remotely, probably has the knowledge+resources, to make more money in other ways than stealing accounts from ffxi.

Unless SE is stupider than we think. >_> It's not hard to be secure in this feild from outside attacks, despite the crappily programmed game, I *hope* their servers are at least secure.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions in computer security. Fame is often the motivation for an attack, not fortune.

"some Jap jacked the account somehow and i dont have all the info i need to get it back so if u dont want some noob running around on your name u need to call them and give them the info from the book the person already changed the credit card info so im not being charged for it, but i talked to teh tech support and i cant do anything from here cause im not the origianl owner.....

We'll yes its true the pentagon gets hacked into but they ARE smart enough and you don't know that they basically have thousands on thousands apon thousands of dummy sites.Yet if the pentagon has files that needs to be sent asap.they arn't going to go o man we need this to the president in like 2mins and the headchief(or whatever) says lets fly it to him......they would send it.now someone good can intersept this.and to answer you question SE is very easy to get into now adays.They have virus' now that can do anything.So maybe im wrong maybe im digging a biggggggggggggggggggggggg hole but yea.I THINK the pentagon would be a little more stable with its info cuz it has stuff that is so mind boggling that it would make you poo your panties.
