I'm tired of religious debates on QCDN.
Spoiler:
Everyone likes to use the same paintbrush. I agree with you TG.

Their really isn't anything wrong with prayer, problem is when it is done in a public forum where there can be people who don't share those beliefs, they tend to get singled out. Yes nobody forced those who don't believe in Christianity to believe in it, but again, it singles them out, makes them feel out of place, and that is what the ACLU is attempting to prevent.
No one should feel out of place for something they are proud to believe in.
ACLU ... bullsnot!
Let kids pray or say grace before a meal in the cafeteria if they want.
I doubt students or teachers saying grace for themselves is a problem, its when its made a public event that there's a problem. See these two school officials wanted to pray during a dedication ceremony, full of other teachers and students, some of which may not believe in Christianity, why should they be later antagonized for not bowing their heads in prayer?
They're already free to do that. What's your point?

Look at what comment I quoted... now what do you think my point was? I was replying to a comment, now get off my ass.
Oh I know, I read. I did say before as far as teachers making it happen during school gatherings etc, that's unacceptable period. Unless they of course are going to take the time to educate themselves on every students beliefs or disbelief's and offer the same show of respect to their belief structure.
That'll never happen. I can't believe it's even a concern!
Like I said, teachers want to press on with religious topics in school they need to be in a private school board that represents the religion of their choice. Or gtfo.
Same goes for students, it's fine to worship, pray, say grace or what have you on your own time but it's never going to be right to preach and force it on others.
