Ok what's up with these? How do they work? My daily activity is full easy by the end of the work day, but no one elses goes up. However my "activity" bar is droping. Anyone care to explain these bars I'm curius about them.

Id also like to know what the TODAY bar is

But I believe the activity bar is just, how often you make a post, or how recent it was, and longevity is how long youve been signed in? Idk.
 
Damned if I know. I hit 100% for all 3 activity things for a few days straight and it was a good self-peen stroke, but other than that it doesn't seem to be much. The today tab is equally useless.

My question is... where did 300 of my posts go. Yesterday I was over 11k...

More of a S&F question so moving there.

You can only see your own daily activity things. If you fill it up everyday the Activity bar will go up. Mine was skyrocketing cuz I was posting a lot, in the high 90s. I slowed down a bit and it all went down.
 
The today bar is only visible by you, and you fill it up competely by visiting and posting 4 posts a day. You get the green bar full just by visiting today, and you get 1 yellow bar for every post you make in a day, at a maximum of 4. It resets itself every day.

I want to know what the fuck happened to mine too. I lost about 600 posts for no reason and it dropped me down a peg on the post ladder.
 
Does post count really matter? lol. It only used to matter to me the first time when I was new to forums and around the age of 15 or 16 and I'd compete on some other FF freak forum with someone else for over 2k posts as top posters within 1 month or so of being in this forum. Then everyone soon began to hate us because of it.
 
In the spirit of FFXI, nothing should be explained, and we should wait 4-5 years until someone can test/parse resulets.
 
Well wtf is the point of the "today" if no one can fucking see it? I know how much I've been on today why do I need a gay graph to show me?


They seem more like a e-pen+ like the rate up system than helpfull.

I think I lost a few posts as well, since this is my 777th post and I remember getting my 777th post a while ago.
 
I, too, noticed that I lost some posts (I broke 700 in early June, and I was bumped back to about 675 yesterday). I figured it was just me, and didn't say anthing. I'm not in the z0mgz thousands club, so it was only about 50-80 or so. Still, it was a tad irritating ... not really on a sheer count level, which I don't really mind, but more because of the idea that something I'd written is now gone -- and I don't even know what it is.

I tend to make my best arguments over forums, and short of copying and pasting everything I submit, I kind of rely on them to keep a record of my awesomeness. :bb:


Did we lose the old Burning Circle posts, or something?

eh, those gauges dont really raise e-peen at all... Dont really need to do a lot to fill them up, or even have them near full.

Posts, rep and join date are the only e-peenable things on qcdn, imo.

Same, i only lost about 60 but i was like wtf?

Yeah, I lost an enormous amount of posts as well (had passed 5555 at one time, friend even screenshot it because he thought it looked neat)

Maybe some feature was added that clips out super-old topics or something to save server space? I could only assume that or one of the removed/unseen forums finally got erased. All the same, it kinda sucks.

Didn't notice you'd beaten me to it, but yeah, it seems it's been erased entirely.

Dont think I did. And if it was burning circle that makes sense, cuz I never posted there =P
