Really I think Cubs may have made a mistake or a misscomunication took place. I am just looking at this from Jo's standpoint. He may have read Pup's announcement or not. I read it at top and too me it looks like Jo did nothing wrong. If Cubs wants his rules implied then he needs too go talk too Pup and have the rules rewritten where Thread Necromancy is not allowed period. Which Cubs' old sticky used too say but that has been taken down. So anyone new here has not seen that and is not aware of it. If I was too come here and see an old flame with my name on it then I would have done the same which it would have been directed at me.
Too me and the way you wrote that I think you are all for punishing people for not knowing or not doing things your way. No where did it say thread necromancy is not allowed at all under any circumstances. So Jo is not a noob for this. He just did not do this Cubs' way. Just put yourself in the other guy's shoes and look at it from his eyes.
Bottom line is Thread Necormacy is not tolerated here unless you have good reason, especialy when your talking months old. What your doing is makin everyone read 10 pages of year old threads time and time again, we got 30 page threads here to read that pop up in 1 day. With that, you don't really wanna see everyone pop up the dead 30 page threads just because you wernt here at the time.
He could have started his own flame with all the witty comebacks and a link to an old thread to let us decide if we want to scroll through that stuff or not.
We like our "new" crap at the top of our boards not last years "old news".

- no spamming
- no racist jokes
- use paragraphs so you don't look like a moron

Whos gonna read and remember all that? This is the reason like in real life you have police officers, here we have a moderator. To keep things clean, tidy, and well behaved. You don't have a law stating you can't run across the street naked, but we do have a police officer enforcing laws that it may or may not cover, like here our moderator handels that. True he wont be right ALL THE TIME but at least you got somebody here keeping control and the peace.
Because no matter how many rules you make if nobody enforces them rules mean nothing.

btw: he can still start up an arguement again locking a thread is not stopping him from doing it. All its doing is keeping an "old" thread from the top.
