fuuuuck, drunken posts FTW anyways, all i can think about when im at work is FF, when im at my friends house or at the bar i think about FF. i love this game, but the time it takes to actually do something is insane. it takes too much away from things that are actually worth while. i was just looking at all my pics on facebook of me chilling with my friends getting crunk and shit. now i dont hang out with them cause i would rather play FFXI, i want to quit but i know ill just come back lol. any suggestions?

You're probably allowing yourself to get involved in too much. Cut down on endgame activities. Removing any responsibilities and comittments you have here will help you to relax. Without endgame, you'll probably find yourself bored- which is actually a good thing. While bored, you'll look for other things to do... not necessarily on FFXI.

This man speaks the truth. While I was doing end-game I played way too much. Once I quit end-game I started hanging out with my friends more.

Just wait until one of those weeks where you're bored with the game and don't really feel like playing that often, and then while you have the strength, delete your characters and account. That's what I did, because I knew if I didn't delete everything I'd just wind up playing again. Now it's been two years and 3 days since I've logged on to FFXI....and there are times where I still get an itch to play like none other.
