Holy hell, did I fall into a hole in the space-time continuum and somehow log into a Fark Godwin thread on QCDN?

Well he is - I knew he would degenerate into a sizzling pile of pulsating puke somewhere in this thread, what's wrong with calling a spade a spade? :P

Wow, I leave for 36 hours or so, and 60 +post get added and it get moves to the flame board. Wow.

To Rones: Talking to you is like talking to a computer. I feel like I'm playing chess vs. Deep Blue...

To Mokk: It is lots of fun, that's why we do it

Raivyn: I'm sorry your respect for me is based on my thoughts on the origin of the internet.

To Jender: Damn you for moving this to the FB!

Well... Guess getting banned isn't as fast as I thought.

I tire of this.

Here's the deal, the only insults that came from me in this thread were after this hit the FB. Anything before that was an observation. If you think saying that what i read was stupid is the best i could do to insult you're obviously not much on memory. I also noted on more than a few occasions you're all quite intellegent, due to my interjection you and FS got sore and felt the need to expound needlessly while forgetting to make a point all the while leaving out the compliments paid.

You don't like my tone? Cry about it a little more. I, unlike you and FS, choose my language very carefully so it can be understood on a broad scale. I chose not to alienate or leave anyone out of the conversation, you chose to ruffle my feathers over something that had nothing to do with you whatsoever which you then turned around and bitched at me for doing, good going. You wanna talk high and mighty? Do a history search on yourself and get humble, rones.

Until such time as FS can provide examples, as i did, to prove what he had to say as correct this goes down in the books as FS being wrong and Rones being stuck up his ass for no particular reason. Again this is a page out of the Rones playbook, prove you're right or you're wrong. If, as you said, common sense is often incorrect you should have no trouble relating examples to economics as i did for my counterpoint earlier. Instead you choose to posture and act immature, way to take the intellectual high road.

I take no issue with you enjoying the argument with each other, i take issue with flagrant disregard for the rules, pompousity, and the shallow egotistical way in which you perpetuate threads of this nature. Course .. hjad you not stubbed your vagina on my post just to watch it swell we wouldn't even be at this point. It would've been quite easy, had FS been correct, to provide material to that end and move on. But easy isn't for you guys, now is it?

Wow. After reading through this insanity it is clear that some seriously deluded frames of mind have been wrought upon this topic. Is Bush a bad president? Well, if taking care of special interest groups and making sure that his elite circle of cohorts advances in their ideals and finances, then yes he is supreme. On the other hand: the defecit spending, the cuts made to military personelle, the appointment of underqualified individuals to positions of power, the repeated taking of action when ignorant to facts and many other such indiscretions destroy his credibility as the commander in chief.

Now, in reference to the teacher putting out biased opinions in the classroom; This is a serious breach of confidence as it is necessary to post opposing views allowing others to make their own judgement. As it is obvious from the report that this did not occur, I cannot agree with it being allowed in the classroom.

If the reference to Adolf Hitler and George Bush is because of their attempts to undermine the civil liberties of a people; Then a loosely construed connection could be made. However, I stress loosely because the impinged liberties of the Jewish peoples were far more ghastly and detrimental. However, GWB seems hell bent on undermining the Constitution and diminishing our rights as United States Cititzens. That in and of itself is Unpatriotic and Unamerican.

The references to the 'crimes' Clinton commited during office were so rediculous it made me physically ill. Clinton increased funding for colleges so more individuals would have accessiblity to attend Universites. Clinton did create a surplus of funding as well as the elimination of the defecit during his tenure. He increased talks and relations between the Israeli and Palestinian state to try and quell the increasing unrest and conflict between the two. He also increased emissions standards to protect our environment. Additionally, Clinton made it possible for family leave for new mothers and fathers for 6 week durations possible with pay. He also paved the way for single mothers to be able to go to work in a society that formerly shunned these women and made it near impossible for them to earn a living in the absence of a traditional home environment.

From what I've seen, thus far Bush has hidden behind rhetoric and jargon by brandishing 'Unpatriotic' and 'Treason' and 'Crimes against Humanity' to further the causes of those within his inner circle and stip "We the People" of our basic civil liberties. The 'Patriot Act' is one more step toward dictatorship than was made out to be. Anyone who spoke against it was branded as Unamerican. This sort of super patriotism in which we all should just fall in line with whatever we are told and not question our leaders' actions is specifically what has hurt us during this time period.

However, the largest crime that I can see is the ignorance of the individuals. Any American should be outraged at the current government's attempt to remove our basic fundamental rights to quell a terrorist threat. Logically, the constant capitulation to the government's wishes without any questioning of their authority to represent us in such a manner is a dictatorship or monarchy. This is not what this country was founded on. Our ignorance to the basic principals that govern our lives as American Citizens is what allows this sort of outrageous behavior by our elected officials.

Plainly said, Bush is by far and away one of the worst Presidents this country has ever had. Intellectually, he is equivalent Dan Quayle. He has allowed too much of his foolish financial dealings as well as his shady lifestyle to cloud his better judgement. On the whole, he has merely succeeded in creating further hatred of this country; As well as driving down our economy, lowering the value of the dollar, and creating a systematic breakdown of our military strength with pointless conflicts and constant states of alert.

I am saddened by his presidency. It shows plainly that Americans are more concerned with voting traditional party lines based on one set of political views rather that what is good for the country as a whole. Otherwise there is no way GWB would have been elected or re-elected into office.

Where was the media outrage and the villification of GWB when the WMD were not found? Where was the impeachment trial? Why was GWB not removed from office and similar hooplah created when it was discovered we attacked Iraq for no reason. Oh, I forgot; Having sex with a White House Staff Aide that is not your wife is exponentially more damaging to America than a war based upon faulty precepts.

I can only pray that he families of those soldiers who have fallen are comforted somewhat by the courage shown by those who fell. True Americans are independant of Democrats or Republicans because they choose to be represented by their political ideals rather than those ideals being force fed to them by one particular side.

And as far as liberals being within the media; this is a {True Strike}. They are also in a great number of teaching positions due to the fact that this is the type of professions they have chosen. On the other hand, a great number of conservatives are in the private sector. Outraged that your child is being taught liberal views? Then quit your comfy job at XYZ corporation and take up teaching so you can spread your doctorine. Liberals. Tired of criminalistic coroporations taking advantage of Illegal Alien labor and poisoning our environment? Upgrade your BA in liberal arts and get jobs in these companies so you can help amend policy and spread your doctorine.
Sound fair?

I'm not going to respond to the base of that, because it would be rather pointless, but I'll focus on one specific point I think can only be attributed to a similar ignorance most of America seems to have.

Monica giving Clinton a BJ was not the reason for the impeachment.

Bill Clinton was accused repeatedly of sexual harrassment by female staffers dating back to his time as governor. He was asked under oath about his relationship with Miss Lewinski as a result of a specific court case. He was not asked under oath about his sex life just because he was found immoral. Sexual harrassment is criminal. People seem to be forgetting this point.

And he was caught committing perjury on that case, which is not only a felony, it reflects badly on the question of the harrassment case.

While I agree with you that people's ignorance and willingness to accept what polticians tell them is a major problem, praytell; what rights have you and I lost? I would like to see a list, personally, as I have never seen anyone say what rights they thought were being violated.

Also I completely disagree with you on the economic and military aspects of your post. The economy is growing at a rate greater than inflation, all markets are strong, the value of the dollar is not dropping (to my knowledge) but is rather remaining stable.

In terms of military spending etc; we're kind of making due with what clinton left us after he cut 709,000 Active Duty (all branches), 239,000 reservists, and 8 standing divisions of the army, not to mention all their logistical assets (that's support) and plenty of other equipment and personell right out of our armed forces. What better way to make yourself look better; 'The world is safe our boys can go home, we're throwing all this away'. Clinton hit our forces harder than an atomic bomb. Regardless, seeing as everyone says that republicans love to bomb stuff, I find it hard to believe that someone is saying that a republican president is letting our military fall by the wayside.
