Just wondering what people thought of Tim and Eric's Awesome Show Great Job and Saul of the Mole Man.

Tim and Eric... hilarious in my opinion. They kinda remind me of a nerdy Trey Parker and Matt Stone. Saul was just weird. :wacko: Funny in a what the hell sort of way, though.

I turned my TV off for the Tim and Eric show, that's about the only real protest that I can do since writing won't do anything. Tom goes to the mayor was so bad it almost gave me cancer, a live action version would probably finish the job.

I didn't care to try Saul and the Mole Men, it looked dumb from the previews.

Yeah, same here. TGTTM was constantly awful, so I figured another show by them would be just as bad, if not, somehow even worse.

Saul is going to take some getting used to, but who knows.
 
I wish i had friends who worked for William St. so i could get on TV with a steaming pile of shit too. Let alone successive steaming piles in the case of Tim and Eric. Just to be clear i'm not just a hater of the Tim and Eric crap, squidbillies and 12oz mouse can go just as easily in the shredder IMO. Half if not more of the lineup these days is just about the weakest crap you could plug in to a cartoon block these days save maybe that jetx crap or whatever it is on toon disney.

Sadly the bumps are getting pretty phoned in/watered down these days too. The whole block is a shadow of itself thanks to it's success, kinda sad.

I loved Tom goes to the mayer just for the sheer shock humor and misfortune of Tom and his horrible marriage. Besides that, the show is shit in itself. Most of Adult Swim is. Thats why I don't watch cartoons anymore. I still like poop humor and shock value, just not... shows that have pauses in them to emphasize how stupid a situation is more than seven or eight times a season... let alone every show.
 
Squidbillies only survives because it's created by the Aqua Teen guys, so Williams Street pretty much bows down to what they say.
 
The only way I could sit through Tim and Eric and Saul again is if I was high, which I was not at the time, and therefore found it monumentally retarded. It looked to me like two guys slapped a bunch of shit together that could have just as easily been done by anyone with a Best Buy in their neighborhood. I'll definately be changing the channel anytime that shit pops up on my TV screen again.
 
Cartoon Network seems to like taking shows a few friends came up with cause they found it so funny at the time and not realizing most wouldn't find it funny as they are a) not high and b) not going to understand the reference >.> I'm so tired of sunday line ups.. they suck x.x
 
I love Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job! Some of the stuff they do on there is dumb, but I liked quite a bit of it. Kind of the same thing goes for Tom Goes to the Mayor. I found it funny most of the time, but there were times where was just sitting there going "Uhhhh..."

Saul of the Mole Men... crap. Seriously. It was boring and unfunny.
 
I have to admit, I've stopped watching [adult swim] (...fuckin brackets) on sunday nights now that Metalocalypse has ended (until the end of the year...woo). Theres just no reason to watch anything anymore cuz EVERYTHING is so...retarded. 12 oz. mouse...I watched maybe 5 mins of it. Not because it was interesting, but because I felt I had to see how much worse it could get. Squidbillies...meh, lets just take "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" and replace the actors with squids. They need Harvey Birdman back, seriously.

EDIT: Forgot Venture Bros. Quite possibly one of the greatest animated shows in existance. Go work on what works instead of what, apparantly, doesn't. Also Robot Chicken

I'm confused as to where the people of Adult Swim want to take their network to. I always loved watching the anime to be honest when it was on...but now they just seem to be chucking out random new shows that just don't work too well. Morel Orel? Eh, kinda funny...but still only 15 minutes long. Metalacolypse, I'll be honest, never saw it, but never wanted to. Tom goes to the mayor was humerous at first, but after the first episode it's just...it hurts to watch it.

I kinda wish they bring over some cool animes, and make shows like Harvey Birdman, ATHF, Sealab...dear god Sealab was so great. I've found myself watching more and more porn on sunday nights. Anyone seen "Pirates" the porno? Great special effects! /rantoff

I'm pissed too that they changed their weekday lineup from Metalocalypse to Morel Orel, that's like going from steak to dog crap. I'm done with AS's sunday night lineup until they get some better shows. Weekdays are still worth watching though, 2 Futurama a Family Guy and ATHF spells good times.
 
Whoa whoa whoa...they took Metalocalypse off weeknights? What the fuck?! Who made that wonderful executive decision? It was one of the only new shows to make it into the top 3 numbers spot with Family Guy or Robot Chicken. They've become retarded down at Williams Street.
 
So did Korgoth never take off or something? Thought they were gonna make that into a series.

All the same, yeah, 90% of their "original" cartoons seem to be utter crap. 12oz Mouse and Perfect Hair Forever were a little funny at first but became the same thing in every single episode, got old REALLY quick...they were better off running Booboo Runs Wild every night, seriously. They should really just go back to that, or maybe Ripping Friends.

And I miss Harvey Birdman a lot, too.

*edit* That "Awesome Show" only amused me for the "Bawl" thing, otherwise I didn't like it. Seems to be really hit-or-miss with it's segments, much like Tom Goes. Not seen, or even heard of, Saul of the Mole Man. Might hafto look into that... (or should I not?)


And Williams Street is seeming to be taking the path of Tech TV, if you know what I mean...
